Any 3G owners also own/lease an 08+ c-class?
Looking to get opinions on how you think it compares to your 3G, and which you would pick if you could only keep one of them (assuming the MB is newer)
Actually any feedback would actually be helpful, whether or not you have the c-class...

I have a 2010 C63 AMG and just got rid of the 3rd Gen TL not too long ago. The C63 is different than a standard C so the comparison IMO would not be fair.
Style wise I like the C hands down. Cockpit in the TL is more techy and user friendly. MB drives better and there is also decent after market for mods but you will pay more.
If you plan on keeping the car past the warranty your best bet is sticking with the TL even though MB's quality has stepped up.

^ Agreed.
We do not have a C-class but have several friends and neighbors who own them. Personally I do not even put them in the same class. When I am in their car I don't even remotely think of Acura. So to answer your question directly... I'd choose the MB all day.
None of them have really had any problems with their cars. However, as VJ said, if you plan on keeping it out of warranty, going with a German car is going to be a more expensive investment. We've owned 2 Audi's the last 4 years and the A4 went bye-bye when the warranty expired and the same thing will be happening with the A6 later this year. Little to no problems with each... but even something very minor is more expensive then it would be on a Japanese make... so we don't take our chances. Funny enough the replacement we're looking at... E350.
So really the decision would come down to what you're really looking for in a 3G replacement.

mmmmmm....
I just hook up my friend with C class last weekend, and he loves his C300.
I believe MB is having crazy lease deal on C right now.
He paid like $2500 out of pocket, 12k miles, 27 month lease, and wear & tear protection for $415 including tax. I think this is the best C deal I seen so far, and it's 2011 model.... which they upgrade the front fog with led strip.
He has multi- media package, 18" amg wheel package, and spoiler. If I was in small car market, I would've definitely jumped on this deal.

I've driven my friends C300 4Matic several times. I'm not impressed in the slightest, besides for the brakes. There is little drive involvement... it feels very disconnected. The interior is also drab and uninviting. Personally, I'd look elsewhere.

Same with the C350, especially with the standard leatherette "MB Tex" interiors. They're a bit better when optioned with real leather interiors, but the dash and door panel textures still feel rough/cheap. The C63 can be excused as its engine makes up for these deficiencies
So aside from the C63 and reliability, my 3G 6MT still feels sportier and more luxurious than these RWD "driver's" cars that're supposedly in another league
Guess I should go with my gut feeling and keep the TL then

I think of the big three German makers entry-level cars, I'd take a C350 right now over the others. Mercedes new styling is great, much less drab than before, and not quite so vanilla like the Audi's.
