If you that concerned with the "Oh Shit" repairs and the 8.5% sales tax, then maybe you should get something else. Something a lot more affordable. Just my opinion though.

^^ Agreed, that's why I have gone from looking for a 20K vehicle to a 12~14K vehicle. I can afford monthly installments of $400, but I was hoping to have a low down payment to keep what I have saved up for repairs and what not.

Then I recommend a Nissan or Infiniti. Low on repairs thus far.

I've been looking at an 2002 I35 or 2002 Maxima, hopefully I can find a good one, I just wish they offered a sport shift on the slush box to keep the car somewhat more engaged.

Get a manual Maxima then. I have an 04 I35. And it's a solid car. Very comfortable. And you cna pick one up pretty cheap these days. One of our sales reps just got an 04 with 36K miles on it for $14K.

Do they have a four speed auto like the 2000-2003 Maxima's or is it a 5spd?

Maybe he has to deal with heavy traffic on a day to day basis?

The 03 Maxima and 04 I35s are very nice cars. Powerful 3.5 VQ engine, HIDs and a fairly sporty car.I'm looking at picking up one for my nephew actually.

Alright guys, the thread can finally come to a close, after about a whole month of searching we finally settled and decided to shell out the few bucks and just lease a new Accord 2009 for $349 a mo/ with $1,000 down.

It's only the four cylinder model, but the 190HP version, not the 177HP version. It's really slooowww, but I'm a fan of the interior, I think it's pretty neat, not much of a downgrade from the TL.

It drives pretty well, and it's got that nice tight feel to it, my only gripe is that the car is a little large, but evenso the car handles rather well, it compares to the TL.

Also, the four cylinder motor really isn't meant for such a large vehicle, as evidenced by the fact that it consumes as much fuel as the V6 based on EPA estimates.

I'll post pics sometime in the future, but they'll be with a camera phone, lol.

To anyone who is wondering, yes I plan on modifying the car, I'll most likely put lightweight wheels, Enkei RPF1s and lowering springs and maybe and intake and headers, just a few mods to get the car a bit more fuel efficient and a little bit more fun to drive.
