Another Win for Audi. Q5

Look at aerodynamics. at 0-60mph it has same performance as RX-350 but at 0-100mph it is 1.5 second ahead despiet smaller engine.

FIRST PLACE: AUDI Q5 3.2 QUATTRO TIPTRONIC
If you love flogging your sport sedan but want more utility, this one's for you. From styling to performance, the Q5 is unmatched. The investment is high, but so is the return.

SECOND PLACE: VOLVO XC60 T6
Test-leading power and torque back up the broad shoulders and aggressive off-road stance. A safe yet stylish value statement but with less of the Audi's refinement and driving flair.

THIRD PLACE: LEXUS RX 350
For the list-checkers, it has almost everything-smooth ride, air cooled seats, a roomy cabin, and a future proof infotainment system. All it lacks is a soul-stirring drive.

FOURTH PLACE: MERCEDES-BENZ GLK350
A compact, comfortable four-seater with excellent chassis dynamics, which is completely betrayed by indifferent steering. Shame the striking looks don't match the handling.

Hey SSFTSX, it's me again...lol... nice find. I really really wonder how those 4 cars will match up with these:

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...re_models.html

1st Place: Acura RDX
A sport sedan in crossover clothes.

2nd Place: Land Rover LR2
A star off-road that still shines on-road

3rd Place: BMW X3
A track-and-field celebrity charging exorbitant royalties.

4th Place: Lincoln MKX
Too overpriced and overweight to be a real contender.

Well, I guess the new ones should be better since they are about 2-3 years newer (ie, the Q5 will smoke all of those 2007-2008 cars eventually). I look at the price and specs, all of these cars match up quite well. I'm surprised that in your link, the EX35 is not there. Did you notice that?

I also notice one thing very interesting. The GLK has been the best selling in its class since it came out a few months ago even though I personally don't like it.

I hear you. your always on my tail. RDX/MDX is junk compared to Q5.

Most people buying GLK because they just happened to be in MB showroom.

EX35 may match Q5 in straight line performance but it wont match it in refinement/cargo/offroad and looks and Q5 in US market lacks the S tronic of EU market. Q5 TDI will be treat. 30mpg and amazing performance.

From the Logbook: Audi Q5
“What a nice SUV–blows away X3 and RDX.”

There needs to be an GLK 55 AMG. That would stir the soul.

From a pure styling standpoint, I saw one in person on leaving a parking lot about a month ago, and I have to say....that thing was

Audi is doing all the right things IMO right now.
The only thing I think they could really improve is their pricing.
