It's my fathers, it was my uncle's and when he passed my father took it, unfortunately I doubt he'll fix it. Weird how it works, it was my uncles baby and than my father was driving this as a DD, while keeping his baby, an 07' TL-P in the garage.

Wow that thing looked clean....too bad...will make a great parts car for someone though.

He was daily driving that? I guess if I owned it, I would, too.
This car is truly a great loss. It looks like the engine compartment was undamaged, though...as 65 Fury Convert above says, he should be able to get a lot of money out of that for parts.

I don't know how insurance will handle this one, looks like an act of god, but happened on his property so... idk
I do hope he doesn't just have a flat bed take it to the junk yard, he tends to under value things....well old things. I would think it's still worth quite a bit especially before it gets rained in and the like. I've got to call him, I found out through facebook, haven't had the courage to call him yet, can't imagine he's very happy.
and yes it was definitely his DD, the Acura stays hooked up to a trickle charger in the garage most of the time.

That's too bad. Looked to be an attractive car. Hopefully insurance will cover your loss. I'm confused, however, about the 309. Are you referring to a 305?

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
Wow, that sucks.....
And trickle charge? You mean he has the car battery on one?

Thanks guys, I really liked that car, it's one of those cars, that isn't real fast, isn't really useful, but just plain neat. That and imo was one of the best examples of the late models, very nice paint scheme. If I had a dozen cars, that would be one of them right next to a GNX.

So no insurance, looks like parts car it is. The doors still open so I guess the frames still straight, here's some more pics, starting with a before pic. I'm going to put it up for sale on a few sites.

Dang man I'm so sorry to hear. That thing looks flawless. I hope everything runs smoothly with insurance.

Well, somebody bought it. It actually went well, because the guy wants to rebuild it. So at least its going out the best way we thought possible.
He says he'll email us pictures of whatever he does with it, I suppose I'll resurrect this thread if it actually happens.

Glad it's going to a new home, hopefully you can check it out after the restoration.
