I don't want my car telling me how fast I should be going. So if it can be turned off...

Also, how will it no not to mistake highway signs, etc? I imagine it would be much better to broadcast speed data via RFID.

It could be useful. Here, there's a speed limit change from 45 at the top of a hill to 35 at the bottom, with no apparent change in road conditions to justify it and a cop waiting for suckers at the bottom of the hill.

As long as following the speed limit is still a ... ermm ... voluntary thing, I won't whine as much.
