From what the newscaster said, BMW has offered a new car to him, but doesn't plan to give him any money for the house...unreal.

What's that? <sniff><sniff> I smell a lawsuit... BMW better fess up something otherwise that guy will be on 60 minutes... right after the Anthrtax segment. You bet your arse if my house burned down due to a flaw in the CL Honda better geat up for a war... how many lawyers are camping outside that guy's house? Or... hotel room...

Also, a whole bunch of 3-series got the bad fans, and overheating and even vehicle fires have been reported in 3ers. But even worse, BMW replaced many of the bad fans with a second batch of bad fans, which are now themselves are being replaced.

Exactly! I brought this up a few months ago. The dealer here
had only enough parts to repair a 10th of the cars sold with the
problem. The quote was "bmw won't recall the 3 series affected
because there aren't enough parts in our american warehouses
to repair all of the cars possibly affected". This was after my friends
brand new 330 overheated the 2nd day he owned it.

Another story from the same dealership was about a lady driving
home right from buying it. Evidently, it overheated also, but she
continued to drive home. By the time she got there her valves
had turned into puddles in her block. So hot when the car stopped
and cooled, parts bonded together. Total engine lock. Crazy.

So much for "The Ultimate Driving Machine!" What a piece of shit!! I know a lot of people complain about the CL's tranny but it doesn't compare to owning a car that burns down your house! The guy basically bought a $50,000 dollar matchstick!

How sad! I got my X5 and had the fan replaced the first week. The dealer kinda fucked up cuz BMW said they should have never sold me the car that way, oh well I hope my house don't burn up cuz I park my X5 in the garage A LOT!
