Another Audi A4 on Acurazine (56k beware)
Pic whoring time. So some of you asked that I post pics of my 2006 B7 A4, so here they are. Please, I know the A4 is not a fast car, but it’s a good all around performing car and very unique in looks.

Here are some of the reasons I decided to go with the A4 when I got it back in August:
1) AWD. I frequently head up to Tahoe from Sacramento during the winter to go snowboarding. Having a car with AWD makes me feel safer and allows me to get pass chain control check points because chains aren’t required for AWD vehicles.
2) Tuning potential. After having the RL for a year, I was getting kinda bored with it. What was worst, the RL had near zero aftermarket support. I also did not want to go the EVO/STI route because I still wanted to maintain a level of luxury. The A4 is a great project car with good aftermarket support and more stuff being developed on a consistent basis.
3) Aesthetics. I like cars that are unique and ones that you don’t see on the road as often. When Audi incorporated the integrated big grill into their vehicles, it became one of those “Hate it or Love it” designs. I admit, I didn’t like the design immediately at first, but it grew on me. Meanwhile, the interior of the car, although pretty barren, is simplistic, luxurious, and flows very well.
4) Fun factor. What can I say, this car is fun to drive. Although not the most powerful engine, the 2.0T FSI is peppy and there is a lot of torque. As with most Audis, there is a bit of understeer when cornering, but simply upgrading the rear sway helps to correct that.
Lastly, reliability was not a concern for me. I mention that because Audi has a reputation for having various problems in their cars. What’s funny though, I’m now approaching 6 months of ownership and have not had any problems at all. In contrast, my RL had several issues in the first 6 months of ownership which still randomly occur to this day. Anyhow, I’m getting long winded.

Dude that is a nice looking car and the thing I love about that car is its not as as common as other cars which makes it unique. Well of course your aftermarket stuff does that too but you get the point. Anyway that A4 is the shit.

Thanks. I liked it for that too because I don't see too many B7 A4s where I live in comparison to Evos, Sti's, BMWs, TLs, etc...
Anyhow, since the sun is going bye-bye, I'll try to get shots of the interior when there's more light. As to debadging the car, I've thought about it, but decided to keep the 2.0T badge. When I eventually upgrade to a K04 stage 3+ I want people to scratch their heads and wonder "Why is that little 2.0T so fast?"

looks absolutely gorgeous.
is there some sort of factory sport body kit on it? I don't remember the rear bumper being so aggressive.

Yes, the bumpers, door blades, and black grill is all part of the s-line/titanium package. I originally got the car equipped as follows:
Dolphin Gray w/ black leather interiror. 2.0T Quattro 6SPD MT, premium, tech, s-line, and titanium package. Sunshades and all season matts.
Mods done to the car so far:
35% tint all around with 20% on the rear, smoked tail lights, Xpel clear bra, 18" Onyx Black RS4 replicas, Stasis Street Sport coilovers, Carbonio CF intake, AWE full exhaust, Eurocode Testpipe, and APR 91/93/100/Stock ECU tuning.
Upcoming mods will include a color matched DTM CF trunk lip spoiler and swapping out the OEM sway bar for the OEM RS4's. No big turbo plans until APR finishes tuning their stage 3+ kit.

Three Wheelin'
very stealthy looking! Nice job on keeping it clean.
I drove a B7 2.0T and agree with Crazy sellout - the engine was smooooooth. More importantly however, it performed like a midsize V6 with good pull from pretty much any rpm with no lag. One of the best turbo 4's I've ever driven.
The only gripe I had with the example I drove was that it was a loaner and as a result must have been beaten the shit out of, because it had a very rough, lumpy idle with only 12k miles on the car - nothing a valve adjustment wouldn't take care of I'm sure.
Any comparisons you can offer between it and the RL.

Looks nice man. Reminds me of my B6 A4. I am surprised you guys are calling that a B7 because its not really a new model just face lifted. B6 1/2 would be more appropriate.
I might be back in Audi/VW/BMW camp again one day.
Here is a few pics of mine...
2003 A4 1.8t Quattro, Amulet RED last year for it.

The A4 is the complete opposite. It feels like a go-kart when compared to the RL. Of course, my mods play a large factor in that. Anyhow, it's the car I take when I want to feel the road and its curves. The engine is loud (thanks to the upgraded intake and exhaust) and growls when shifting, but the car quiets down shortly after so it doesn't become obnoxious. The handling is sure footed and the car sticks to the road very well. The RL is no slouch in handling either, but taking a large car through a tight corner feels quite different and not as confident. Aside from being stuck in rush hour traffic, rowing the 6 speed manual is tons of fun on curvy roads. Lastly, unlike the RL, the A4 is definitely a head turner.

Finally, the B7 borrows the S4's rear trapezoidal links and wheel carriers, along with the A6's shock absorber dimensions. The biggest carry over from the B6 is the chassis. Anyhow, the B7 will have a limited run with estimates pointing at 2008 for the release of the completely new B8.
