Oh I know there are a lot of riders like you out there (and I wish I was one) but to me it seems there's less riders like you and killer compared to casual riders. I guess it also depends on the type of bike as well. Most adventure & cruising/touring bikes will have higher mileage while most street bikes are lower. I guess with me being more in the street bike crowd, most bikes I see are sold before they even hit 5 figures on the ODO. A quick scan of eBay or the local CL ads can confirm that. I mean, I've owned 3 bikes in the last 4 years and have never owned one with more then 5k miles. My Aprilia had 2200 when I sold it . I am planning to change that with the Ducati since I finally found a bike I absolutely love... but still, it will likely never see incredibly high mileage readings on the ODO but it will still need more frequent maintenance then my truck.

BTW, the new Motorcyclist had an adventure round up.... I was excited to read about the GS650. Finally, an adventure bike I may be able to sit on with a part of my foot on the ground!!
