Added ANOTHER SPORTSCAR to the Garage (Acura Content)
So a good friend of mine got into a little financial hole and was forced to sell his NSX (which he LOVES and didnt want to sell). Anyway, I bought it from him (for an AMAZING price) and told him he could buy it back from me for what I paid once he gets his finances straightened out (I really wanted a 2002+ Long Beach Blue, but this will do for now )
It's a 1992 NSX with 80K miles and MINT. It has the following stuff done:
-Comptech Headers
-Comptech Exhaust
-K&N Intake
-2002+ Rear Valence
-Zanardi Floormats/New Driver/Passenger Seats
Some shitty pics for now....better to follow once I get her cleaned up. Sorry, my Garage is a mess...lol.
Initial Impressions: It feels slow compared to the Vette (the vette would absolutely DESTROY it in any race). HOWEVER, the it sounds like PURE SEX with the Comptech Headers/Exhaust. Clutch uptake is similar to the Vette with a very high catch point (no need to depress it far to shift). The shifter throws are nice and short. The lack of power steering is a bit odd to get used to, but its fine. It has excellent visibility out the front windshield. Also, I didnt think any stock car bottoms out more than the Vette--I was wrong.
PS: Keep any stupid cougar comments to yourselves. Thanks.

Thanks. I appreciate it. Red is certainly a great color for sportscars, but I really would have preferred the later LBP on 2002+ NSX's.

Thanks everyone. I sincerely appreciate it. I'm definitely going to start looking for some black rims with a red lip for the NSX. I had a 360 forged set I had my eye on for the vette, but the NSX is in MUCH more need for rims and will prob put my money towards that if I end up keeping the NSX for an extended time.
BTW, so far it seems that the Vette turns more heads than the NSX (maybe because its a convertible ?) I'm going to take the NSX down the shore this weekend, so I'll test that theory further The girlfriend likes the vette better though.

Nice pickup.
As I say every time I see an NSX....it's on my bucket list to own one.
An NSX AND a C6 Corvette 'vert? I'm obviously in the wrong field in medicine to make the duckets for having those two in my garage at the same time.
Thank you for sharing your pics, can't wait to see better ones.

That's great. Better plan than lending him the money. This way, when he gets back on his feet he'll have an incentive to "pay you back". I'd wait on modding it if you are going to sell it back to him at cost unless you are going to either, be a good friend and let him have the mods, sell them to him or sell them on ebay.

Nice pickup Padawan. Props for being considerate of your friend and adding a new toy to your garage. Too bad it's red since you're already rocking the red vette, blue would have been a nice contrast IMO. I 2nd adding new rims if you have the $$.
What the hell are you gonna do when you're an attending like me? 911 Turbo and Scuderia or Z06 and F430?

Hehe funny you mention that Bryan because the F-car dealership called my office 2 wks ago. I presume to procure a deposit for the F458 in the realm of $50K. Unfortunately, my disposable income is going into extensive home remodeling this summer which in the long run I know will be a better investment. Plus I like the looks of the F430 better but I'll reserve final judgment until I see the Italia in the flesh.

Noice!!
It has some polarizing looks for sure.
I didn't like it at first, but it's grown on me and I love it now. I can imagine I'd like it that much more in person too.
But I'll raise you a to the 430. I love that one too.

Congrats on the new car! Have you joined NSXPrime yet? If not, definitely do! There are some good resources and tips there, but before you go I do suggest you hide your wallet before you find yourself dropping 3K on a new exhaust or something of the nature

SurferRick.... a Murcielago Roadster would certainly be my dream as I move up in the ranks. Neuronbob, having no wife certainly helps getting nice toys. Im sure that may change in the future. Also, starting fellowship will certainly hurt finances. Im going to need to moonlight A LOT like I did over the past year.
