The pics are actually pretty high res, but I think Yahoo doesn't let you guys download them from me with high res w/o paying $$

Anyone have a better place to put them?

That car is hot ESPECIALLY for $24k. Bring it on! Will there be a Type S? If so, when and what's the spec? I'm hungry for more!!!

Hmm i wonder if the typeS will be a v6?
may be a detuned typeS engine from the CL-s, TL-S. or a tuned up i-vtec from the new accord.
rumors say the TypeS version won't be released together with the standard... Also pricing will have to be very careful,
hmm
Accord 4cyl w/ leather & navi 25.1
Accord v6 25.2
Accord v6 w/ leather & navi 27
RSX-S 22.7k
TL-p 28k w/out navi
TL-p 30k w/ navi
Tl-S 30.1k w/ out navi
TL-S 32.1k w/ navi

I wonder where the TSX will fall, my guess is around 26 non navi, 28k w/ navi. just inbetween an accord w/ navi and a TL-p w/out navi

I like it, not outrageous looking, but nice......the rear does have a last gen. Camry look (tail lights especially).

The interior does look great though, I'll give it that.

200hp is blah, is there going to be a Type-S? Even if it had the Accord V6 (240hp) that would be fine...especially with a stick.

I kinda hope the Type S isn't a V6...mainly because of weight. Has anyone driven both a I4 and V6 Accord (it doesn't matter the generation)? The I4 handles quite a bit better because it's not as front heavy. A big engine means a lot of weight to throw around...and it's more pronounced in a smaller car. They can do just as well, with a tuned up I4. Heck, it would be kinda cool to have the 2.0 from the S2000 or the rumored 2.2 from the possibly upcoming S2200.

I agree with beltfed, the taillights resemble an older camry's far too much

TSX=Baby TL means better new TL .

I have a warn feeling that the new TL will have standard feature found only $50k+ cars.. Intelligent crusie control, better NAV, 280+HP.. better tranny... possible 4wd option... You would be amazed!

A 4-Cylinder w/200HP.
OK, it looks nice, but what’s the big deal ???

Not to mention it’s a FOUR DOOR.

$10 says the tires will b Michelin Pilot MXM4's :shakehd:

knowing Acura, they'll kinda mess up the whole car with 1 or 2 things

IMO, i'm a bit surprised by the TSX concept...reason being it looks a bit out of place...reminds me of the Infiniti M45...TSX is like a 4-door RSX...if it's not replacing a model, then what were the demographics??? the conservative cheap-man's sports car?? doesn't make much sense to me...could it b they're targeting potential TL customers who can't afford a TL, like the younger crowd or older seniors who don't like driving Caddy's and Grand Marquis???

Yuck. The TSX does nothing for me. It is marginally better looking than the US market Accord but not distinctive enough to compete on a looks-only level with the 3 series or even the IS300. The engine....200hp. Not suprising for the entry level car. Keep in mind that this is a "replacement" for the 4 door integra (RSX) so 200hp is fine...maybe the Type S will be the V6 or maybe Acura will just work some magic on the 4cyl to up the hp like they did on the CL/TL's 3.2L engine...maybe boost it up to 220 or 230 with more torque?

Just doesn't look like the car I hoped it could be.

I hope TSX Type-S has a V6 engine.. I am sick and tired about I4. In my opinion Torque is very important also.. I can't really see how can a I4 engine produce a good mount torque and HP at the same time. Honda I4 engines are usually big on HP, but weak on torque. You will notice the difference when you have 4 people in your car and try to pass a 18 wheeler. 166lbs-ft of torque at 4500rpm is not even for me. I still prefer the engine on CL-S more.

since I'm an old timer....I guess I'll put in my two cents:

YUCKO: CHEAP looking outside..................BORING 4 DOOR SEDAN

4 BANGER ?????????????????? I don't think so ! Why the hell would I DOWN GRADE to a 4 cyc. boring 4 door car with no balls ?????

Sorry Acura, I move UP THE LADDER, not down AND NO I'm NOT interested in going BACK TO HONDA'S !

Does nothing for me !

I don't think Acura is trying to lure drivers away from their CL/TL...This is an entry level car...as in, one's first Acura. People have to stop comparing it to their CL or their CL's engine...they are not meant to be compared, they're in different classes.

As an entry level sedan goes, I think it will kick butt.

I dont think i like it. If the only thing different from the accord is the HID's and wheels, then i would go with the accord. The accord IMO is such a bang for the buck that, for about the same price (adding aftermarket HID's and such "flare") i could get a v6 accord. Totally agree with you, night_vision about the torque. 6 cyl is the way to go. A I4 would be a step down.

Who cares about this car except Civic owners trying to move up???No one. Interior puts the new Altima TO SHAME
This car is confusing. I guess for people who are too good for a Honda and would rather the Acura badge.

i feel that the tl/cl are the entry level cars. now they are going to have a semi-entry level car. everyone is going to own an acura now. next thing you will see is the new element with an acura badge on it.

or I just slap on some $600 HIDs to the accord and we are even again.

But it will sell cuz people would rather drive an acura than a honda.

But why would Acura try to steal from Honda? They are the same company? It seems to me if Accord remains good sale, then Acura may lose money on TSX or Honda lose money on Accord if TSX has a market. IMO, TSX will not compete with 3 series, IS300, etc, but clearly targeted on its brother Accord.
