The acura display at the Chicago Auto Show SUCKED!!!!!!!!

There were only two CL's.....one was a blue 6 speed 03', then there was a 02' CL-S. The only thing that they had the"wowed" me was a custom RSX-S with acura 19"s, a body kit, and a nice looking spoiler...................SOOOOOOOOOOOOO I went over to the BMW and Mercedes diplays and drooled for a while!!!!!!!

Yeah it wasn't the greatest. No owner's lounge this year. But there are more cars than last year and you get a great view of the Ford GT40 from the top of the Acura building.

The Acura display at the D.C. show was pretty boring as well. The NSX was the highlight and they didn't even have the 6-speed CL.

Hopefully they'll have something better for the San Diego auto show.

The Acura display at the LA auto show was pretty weak too. Heard the one in Detroit was good though.

The mercedes and BMW displays were swarming with people. It was hard to see anything....let alone take pictures. I was going to go back during the week, but now, I don't want to.

Benz and BMW are always the hottest cars at the Autoshows.....they always have neat cars to look at and you can actually sit in their expensive models unlike other makes at the show.

Why would Acura have an exciting display? The RL, boring....RSX (nice, but whatever-the one with the 19's, body kit sounds cool), NSX (cool, they gave it a face lift), TL (nice, nothing we haven't seen before), CL (nice, playing with the 6spd would be the highlight for me).

Overall....nothing that would make me go "wow."

Not really. Same display pretty much. In fact the Chicago one actually had more cars. Detroit display had a couple more platforms and 2 2003 CL-S's. Nothing too impressive.

But I think of it this way... Why should they? They keep breaking sales records so who needs to blow money on an overly elaborate display?

I was there yesterday.... and thought the Acura display was OK. Nothing special. I thought there were a good amount going through the Acura display considering the size of it.

No comparison to Benz/BMW though. The hooked up RSX was the main event though.... I acutally thought those 19's would look sweet on a CL. The Acura brochure was weak as hell.... I was hoping for a nice poster of the new 6 spd on something like that.....

The Detroit Auto Show was so much better...

Did anyone notice that the Aegean Blue 6-spd was branded as a CL and not a CL-S??? Also, the gearbox in that thing was crap. I hope to god that thing was more of a display and not EVEN close to a production model. It really did feel like crap. That and there seems to only be an 'on' and 'off' for the heated seats, no 'high' or 'low'. Lame...

Other than that, the Acura display was about the same as in Detroit. The Mercedes display had about the same number of cars. At least the Chicago BMW display allowed people to get in the M3 and the M5. Detroit had them locked up tight...
