Honestly. Want to keep value? Get the Accord. The Stinger is nice but its like the RLX. Priced too high to begin with and will drop in value. It's a Kia. There's no getting around that.
And with the Accord, you'll have more colors, more options, a car known for it's reliability, and something that will be fun to drive as well.

The accord isn't that fun to drive. And as for reliability... the verdict is still out on the new 10AT. Some have been giving issues right from the start.
Old car stigmas die hard, apparently.

Meh....depends on who's driving. I haven't heard anyone have any issues with the 10AT. Just the usual that they had with the Pilot when the Touring and Elite get the 9AT. The "gear hunting". Not sure if that's been solved with some kind of software update or what.

Any time you have that many gears, it's going to hunt for the right one. The question of what gear to be in given the spot in the rev range vs road speed vs throttle input just has too many answers because it can't predict what the driver is going to do/want next. The ZF9 in my Jeep does hunt a little but overall it's fine. I'll deal with a little hunting in exchange for nearly 30mpg on the highway.

I will. I like to know these things in case a customer ask me.

The car looks great in person and is really nice, just need to gauge your expectations accordingly (pun intended). If you are expecting BMW 340 levels of driving dynamics and power, you will be sorely disappointed. If you are expecting Camry levels, you'll be thrilled.
Like I said, I'd buy one in a heartbeat as soon as dealers stop treating them like they are Bugatti's and selling for below MSRP.

Are they still selling at MSRP? With all the reports of sales tanking on the Accord, I'm surprised dealers are still holding out. That doesn't seem to be accurate (not saying it's not.. just doesn't seem to make sense), especially when there was mention of dealers cancelling shipments of the Accord, because they aren't selling at all, off their lots.

My plan is to see what the lease rates are for the Accord next month and then make a decision.
Edit: Also the wheels on that one pictured above are gaudy AF.

For the 2.0T sport 6MT the dealer I talked to said MSRP or go home. To be fair, I didn't talk to any other dealers because I'm not 100% sure I want to get the Accord or a used BMW...still TBD. The BMW just makes me nervous in regards to upkeep.

By a CPO. They typically come with free maintenance... sometimes up to 100k depending on the promo. That's what we did with our first Audi when we were nervous to jump to the German side and it made a huge difference. Thankfully we've never had a problem with any of the German's we owned, but having that free maintenance kept the cost down and made it easier to transition from Japanese brands.

I drive a Subata.

The Accord 2.0T 6MT is still too new. Most socal dealers still mark up the Hype R even though the amount has came down by a lot. The dealers are just trying to say that it's the same engine as Hype R so it should be just as good. Dumb dealers are trying to make a bank on these small production trims.

How far under MSRP? I'd be down for a roadtrip if the price was right. We were planning on a trip to Yosemite in May anyway so this would mean I don't need a rental car lol. srs question, PM me if you were also serious.
Also, what's a SP? Stinger Premium?

The 6spd 2.0T isn't one that pops up everywhere. Keep in mind, not a lot of people want a 6spd. Nor do dealers want a car that's just going to sit on their lot to the point they have to discount it lower than what they paid just to get rid of it. If you're market doesn't call or have the demand for a Type R, you're not getting one unless it's ordered.
The WDP(white diamond pearl) CR-Vs and Civic Hatchbacks in EX-L or higher trims are hard to come by as well unless you're looking to go across the US for it. I had a customer looking for a 2018 Civic Hatchback in EX-L WDP and we couldn't find one within a 500 mile range. There's no discount on a vehicle like that.

Sam, I really don't think you'll be that thrilled with the Accord 2.0T. It's a nice car, but it's anything besides being a sports car. It's much like the Civic, but bigger in all aspects.
At the end of it all, I bet Honda will eventually kill the 6MT, because no one really is going to be buying it. Not because it is bad, but, because they sell it as "sport", but there is nothing sporty about it. It's the exact same car as the automatic Accord, save for a different transmission.

Yeah the dealer I went to had 6 2.0T 6MT's on the lot in every color they come in... It's not as rare as you think it is. I'd be ok with buying one under invoice as one should but not for MSRP, not for something like a Honda Accord which is still at the core, an appliance.

Depends on the area. Like around the east coast, not many out there. You might be able to find a bunch of them over in Cali.
They might. Idk though. They brought it back to try and save the 6spd...for Honda at least. Lol. It sucks they only offer the 6spd in the Sport model. The EX, EX-L, and Touring, especially the Touring, would be nice with that. No one is really pushing the manual trans like Honda is though. No one really cares for one. Everyone begs for one. When it comes out, no one wants one.

A lot of families are single car households and for that reason a manual won’t fly. But I also agree that you always hear about people wanting a manual very badly and then when given it the sales stink. Pretty soon you’ll only be able to get a manual on very expensive high end cars. A lot of companies used to offer it on their bottom models and even those companies no longer do that anymore.

Talked to him. It's like you said. They want sticker for the 2.0T 6spd. He said they can't keep them on the lot and have a list of people waiting for them to come in. He said DO NOT pay MSRP for one. He also mentioned if you can wait until the 2019s hit the lot, do that.

it seems to be the other way around, other than sports cars, manuals seem to only come on the barebone models of cars. Or they take away you ability to add options to the manual version.
