Accord Plug-In Limited
In another thread, SamDoe1 pointed out the Accord Plug-In http://automobiles.honda.com/accord-plug-in/
I didn't see any threads discussing the Accord Plug-In, so let's discuss.
To me it sounds like it's very much a Limited
vehicle with a range of ~13 miles in EV mode.
Uhhh, is Honda putting this out there simply to say they have a plug-in hybrid. The plug-in aspect sounds pretty useless.

In all-electric mode, the 2013 Accord Plug-In Hybrid will use a 6 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery and a powerful 120 kW electric motor to achieve an all-electric range of approximately 10-15 miles in city driving scenarios and a top speed of 62 mph. Fully recharging the battery will take less than 4 hours using a 120-volt, outlet and less than 1.5 hours using a 240-volt charger.

In electric mode only. 45ish mpg otherwise (read: most of the time)
I was a pretty big proponent of this car until someone pointed out the 13 mile range which seems completely pointless but if you live in a big city and want a car that can do road trips as well, it seems like a pretty good proposition. 45mpg on gas operation certainly isn't bad and if you live in a city and commute 5-7 miles each way then it seems like a perfect car.
Granted very few people will have this so I'm guessing this car is made specifically to bump their CAFE for their marketing materials.

I just wonder why they didn't at least give it 40 miles of range to compete with the Chevy Volt. I've gotta think they were simply trying to bump CAFE and be able to say that they produce a plug-in hybrid.
