Accord hybrid?

I'm almost getting 05Tl w/navi. But someone said that I should consider accord hybrid. It has much better mileage (30/38) and close Hp(255), torque(232) to TL. But less attractive exterior of course. I'm sure TL has more fun to drive and luxurious than accord but condering everything (gas mileage, price,...) into it~~ I don't know. What do you guys think? Should I wait untill Dec 03 for accord hybrid? I hope this is right place I can get some advice..

The Accord hybid is only sedan for now and looks butt ugly. I think you should stick with the TL since it has a lot better features; Or you can wait for the Accord coupe hybrid which i might do.

I wouldn't even compare tell you the truth. I'm TL all the way, hands down. If you have the $$ its the better choice. G'luck.

I think the Accord is a pretty good buy. Do not forget the 100HP from the electric engine, too.

To me, if the Accord had xenon lights and bluetooth it would be a no brainer. Without xenon and bluetooth, it would require some additional thought. Although, I LOVE the instant econ in the Accord dash. Just like the RL.

You're asking us to compare the Accord Hybrid with the TL? Are you nuts? Two totally different cars. Do you want great mileage or great looks? If you want a classy interior, go no further than the TL (but I haven't seen the Hybrid interior -- I'm sure it's loaded with plastic and faux other materials). Not bad-mouthing the Hybrid, just don't ask us to compare it to the TL. It's like asking for our advice on what baseball team we think is better -- the Yankees or a Double A team...

Think Honda, think (I think this comment is partially generated by the editor-in-chief, who loves the Accord but thinks the TL isn't worth it).

Two totally different cars?? Come on man they aren't that different and you know it. The TL looks way better btut other then that they are very much similiar IMO. The interior looks pretty damn close to the TL's the TL with an edge but not that far off. In fact if the accord looked better on the outside I would buy it over a TL but it's not.

I would get the Accord in a heartbeat if it had a manual tranny. Hybrid is the only way to go!

a tough choice

this is a tough choice. TL is defintely more sporty and more luxurious but both cars
are built off the same platform though the TL structure is stiffened up more (which you can feel). supposedly the accord hybrid is definately faster that stock gas version and it might be as fast (straight line) as the 5AT TL. I think the hybrid is incredible technology and the mileage is a huge plus, but for
myself I would still go with the TL (6 MT version)<--

Thanks for the link to the review.

While nice, the hybrid dropped another notch because of the missing moonroof!

Still a gerat car!
