911 Targa
I had a dream, perhaps a revelation...the mid-life crisis dream car #1 spot...the 911...targa...s. Never have I conjured up such a certainty for the top dog. It has always been a toss up between a handful of appreciated cars, but for some reason, this exact model seemed to be "the one" worthy of a long term committment. Unique, fast...open air, but yet not cabriolet-castrating. Woke up, grabbed the phone, and pulled up autotrader. Boy are the targas rare, especially s/4s form.
Has anyone driven a targa, or knows someone with a targa? Are these well appreciated in the 911 community?

Just IMHO, it always seemed odd that they called it a 'Targa'.
Not to say it's not a nice car, but to me it's pretty much just a huge sunroof.

nope, we're almost halfway out of the woods. been a crazy year. my hours are 80-100/hrs a week, and hers are around 70. we also found a new apt significantly less than our old apt that was lost during sandy. we ultimately paid down the cash equivalent of a targa over the past 6 months. the student loans moving forward will be roughly the cost of ownership of a car.
just started the thread re. a long term dream car for curiousity sake, since targas are so rare.

Stage 1 Audi S5
My neighbor has one and absolutely loves the car. He didn't like the idea of a full cab but loved the open air and liked how he rarely saw a cab. Sorry for the crappy pic but that is all I have right now.

2005-2007, aesthetically is the best. Rear facade isnt droopy like the 2007+, and has fat aluminum window trim and simple oval headlights, not found prior to 05-07.

^^^interior shots of greenhouse are awesome, considering the context of such a great machine.

Love Targas, but they seem pretty pricey compared to the coupes.

That looks horrible for CG. I'll take a regular 911 with a side of the new Cayman.

i wouldnt consider having car in general for the next few years (still live in NYC and parking is 500/mo)...and i wouldnt consider THIS for much longer. whether its an auto or not is pretty meaningless right now :/ sure is fun to research though for future goals.
