9-3 viggen

Anyone know anything about these cars? they were made from I think 2000-2002. Im really liking the styling on em but havent heard much about them quality and reliability wise.

relatively fast for its day. not so much anymore.

its anyones guess on pricing - the viggen is extremely rare, but saab depreciation is jaw dropping.

If i remember correctly, I don't think they fared too well with consumer reports' review.

yeah its so much about these cars appeal to me. they are relatively rare, have some room due to the hatch, coupe, manual, from what ive found about them, the handling seems to be good. Ive also heard with a tune they can get pretty nice torque numbers

Good handling, tunable as mentioned above, and a reputation for BIG-time torque steer. Definitely a wild ride. The following review is from British TV motoring mag 5th gear.

^ and to its handling quirks, I found this very interesting kit from a British tuner. If it does what they say it does, it could be the magic bullet for this car's eccentricities.

looking at the prices it seems that the viggens hold their value way better than normal saabs. the average price seems to be 8-11k

I love the Saab concept and the 99/9-3 cars, but they were expensive to repair.
Saab is likely to become an orphan car with no factory support after this year as GM hasn't been able to sell it, but major parts should be easy enough to find for a while.

I've owned 3 saabs and never had a problem with them. They were all over 100K miles btw.

The 9-3 viggen is a really nice car! Very quick, has pretty good handling and easy to mod. I love the styling too! I've driven a few of them and I'm telling you, you will not be disappointed

here is a small comparison of the viggen vs etc,.

as you can see the viggen shines up top, it's the fastest to 130mph

I lol'd at this:

Highs, Lows, and Verdict

Highs: Traditional quirky, offbeat turbo front-drive charm from Saab.

Lows: Traditional quirky, offbeat turbo front-drive charm from Saab.

The Verdict: Traditional quirky, offbeat turbo...
