I think he might have meant a comparo between the recent European car article on the M3 manual vs SMG times and the CD article on the 330Ci vs CLSMT. 0-60 times of the m3 manual was about 5.2, clsmt in cd was 5.9.

That doesn't mean shit when you think about 1/4 mile times though, and comparing magazine times is weak at best.
