And 5 hours later...

Previously I only had time to do one coat of zaino several weeks (sometimes months) apart, and piss poor washes since it rained so often until recently.

Plus my driveway is on the west side of the house, so I have to wash and dry before 10am, otherwise I'm stuck with water spots.

Today was that perfect day...

Full wash with Zaino
Dried with Black Magic synthetic chamois
Clay bar with Zaino
2 coats of Z5 w/ ZFX and Z6
tires by Zaino (I have Black Magic gel, which I think is better, but wanted to try the Zaino for the first time)
Rims with simple green

Results:

2 hours later, a bird shat on my driver side window.

Looks good, but you might get a better response in wash and wax. Right now I am deciding if I should give my car a quick wash, clay, and wax.

i figured wash and wax was for discussion of the actual washing and waxing. This is just to display the results.

besides, i've never been over to wash and wax.

when i had the cl-s, what i did was after a dawn wash, i'd clay bar and then wash again with z9 (?). but that was a different house where i didn't have to worry about the sun.

here, i had to get up early (9am) and start washing right away, then dry and then i started clay barring (already did the dawn wash a while back). claying takes like forever, and the sun started peaking around. So instead of washing again, pulled into the garage, got a bucket of water and towel, and after doing a panel i'd wash it with the bucket/towel and dry.

so about 30min wash, 1.5 hr claying/"rinsing", Z6, breaktime, then first coat, break time, buff, Z6, break, 2nd coat, tires/rims, vacuum, vinylex, leather stuff, inside of windows, outside windows (i clayed them too since they have some weird film on all of them), buff, then Z6.

It probably could have been done in 3-4 hours, but i took a lot of breaks.

then the bird shat.

also, anyone thinking of using the zaino tire stuff...it sucks. it looks like milk and is too thin. if you like a mild shine, then it's alright.

depends...if you use "shit" as a noun, as in "take a shit", then no. But if you use "shit" as a verb, as in "I shit on the carpet", then the past tense would be "shat", because "I shitted on the carpet" has one too many syllables.

looks great. Is Zaino a pain to apply, or is it just like any other wax?

the zaino polish itself is not a pain, it's the whole process if you want to do it right, but this applies with any type of wax or polish.

if you are just going to wash and apply a wax or polish and buff off, you can do this with zaino and get good results, but you might as well use any other polish/wax as they are cheaper than zaino. i haven't found a product that lasts as long between applications as zaino though.

For the best results you want to do the initial steps, and that includes clay barring which takes the longest...but this is only needed once and maybe once a year or less after that. This should also be done with other products (Mothers (?) offers a clay bar also). subsequent wash/wax etc. is just like any other wax/polish, but i think its easier because it dries like almost a fine powder. of course any wax/polish will give the same results when first applied, but i have found that zaino lasts a lot longer.

Both are considered vulgar slang (ie improper english). Shit can be used as a noun, verb, transitive or intransitive verb, and as a phrasal verb.

The verb, to shit, is most commonly used to refer to the literal act of defecation, but it can also mean to treat badly or to humiliate (I got shit on for being late, He shit all over my project), or to produce something carelessly (I was hoping for a project we could all be proud of, but Dave just goes and shits something out at the last minute). The past participle of to shit is attested as shat, shit, or shitted, depending on dialect and sometimes the rhythm of the sentence. In American English shit as a past participle is always correct, while shat is generally acceptable and shitted is uncommon. In the Prologue of the Canterbury Tales, "shitten" is used as the past participle.

Usage of shits occurs in three types of common English. Although not formal, shits as a verb (Mark shits in the morning) is still correct, but this tense is not widely used, as takes a shit is more direct in meaning. As a noun (Those little shits) refers to children or people of low status, such as Freshman to upper classmen on any level. Lastly, the shits is euphemistic for diarrhea (That bean burrito dip gave me the shits!!).

According to what I posted, it would generally be considered acceptable (for american english). Also,..."the bird shit on my window" would be acceptable ,...with shit being past tense as well. The best option would be something like,....."a bird took a shit on my window" or something like that,.....ugh this stuff is confusing.

It says that for American English, shit as a past participle is always correct, and "shat" is generally accepted (how you are talking about "shat"). I personally consider shat to be improper english, since shit can be used as a past participle in the same way "shat" can (from what I understand), so its not needed anyway really. Technically, they are both considered slang words though. So take that at face value I guess. So umm,.....yes, your usage would be acceptable in terms of american english according to what I posted. In broad terms of the english language and its history,...no not really,...its a vulgar slang that developed from the word shit, which is also a vulgar slang.

@ myself for looking all this crap up.

Anyway who cares,.............your car looks good dude. The M in black is stunning.

if the spirits move me, i may wash and put another 2 coats on this afternoon (probably 1 z5 and 1 z2). problem is that I have to wait until the sun is almost setting, or do a wash/dry panel by panel.
