Don't see how the TL will fit the bill for you. The MDX on the other hand would be my choice - although you already have an SUV.
It would be hard to fit 3 car seats in the back of a TL. I have two boosters for my girls and there is hardly any room left for anyone to sit in the middle, let alone a 3rd booster or car seat. Here's a pix of my setup - and I think that I have one of the slim boosters that locks to the car

Why get another SUV when you have a Tahoe? A6 Avant is a good option. Not sure what the prices run, but Mercedes R63 AMG? CPO maybe? Some don't like the look, but it will blow the doors off most sports cars and has 2+2+2 seating. Not sure if that's a good thing with three kids though...
Wagons are a good compromise between a Tahoe and a sedan. You could always just wait for the TSX wagon, but that may be a while. I'm sure you could get the 3.5L 280hp V6. If your buying tomorrow I say go ahead and get the TL SH-AWD.
