240SX has problem

My friend washed his 240SX, and washed the engine compartment. And now his car has some problems, it wouldnt start and even if it start it would die when idle.
So we took out the spark plug boots, and theres water coming from it.

so what should he do?

Is water coming out of the spark plug holes, or just around the boots? You said you washed the engine; the water could just be sitting on the boots, and that doesn't necessarily mean water got into the engine somehow. Take out the spark plugs and look into the engine.
