They only make the SLR in the two colors. They may add new ones for the next "model year".

I'm more interested in the Maybachs in the pictures....

for some reason Benz's cars look great in black and "okay" in other colors. I don't know what it is. I watch MTV cribs vacation edition. Ludacris went to S. America to drive a SLR Benz. It was black and looked BADASS.
does anyone know if the SLR is offered in any other colors than black and silver? that's all i've seen.

I don't know why, but I really don't get excited over the SLR as much as I would about other rare exotics. My friend is a big car nut, and when I was looking at this thread he was over my house. He says to me, ''those are a lot of SLK's in that picture.'' That car really looks like an SLK to me, which shouldn't be the case for a $400k car. An exotic that costs nearly a half-million dollars shouldn't resemble a $50k roadster, it should outdo it in every way possible. Feel free to call me crazy.

....actually thinking a) sell house, b) buy SLR and c) move in with inlaws.

Step c precludes a and b so no go.

No way to those look like the SLK. Way to long, and the door handles, to many differences. We have a few of well everything Benz/Maybach and the SLK 55 does have some similarities to the SLR, but no way does the SLR even closely resemble it.

I think the 5-spoke wheel looks like ass compared to the other wheel. I really can't stand it.

oh yeah - if I ever see an SLR around here... my jaw will drop. It's not my favorite car, and if I had enough money to buy one, I wouldn't - but damn, it's an SLR.

I live down the street from a Merc dealership. Today they were unloading some cls with amg body kits, all of them were white except for one wine red colored one. And They have a silver SLR sitting in the window. I cant stop staring at that car, well until i see the porsche GT sitting in the owners private parking space on the side of the building. Yummy.

all I know is I was all over the SLR and CGT at the Auto Show... bonafide "showstoppers", in the most classic sense...

NJ_CLS you *drove* one??? wtf??

yea let's not forget how well this car did performance-wise on Top Gear... right up there with the Enzo, etc.... I think a lot of people think the car is really fast but can't handle. negative. Of course, it's auto, but still. It's one damn fast auto.

Personally I hate the look of it. It kinda reminds me of the Crossfire. And I hate those rims, why MB decided to choose those rims on that car is beyond me. But to each their own.

I'm with you bong. I'm not saying I hate it, but there is defintely something off about the length of the front and the wheel positions. MB could have done better with that design.
