Like any other car, you have to respect the environment in which your driving it in regardless of how much horsepower it has.
I got my challenger sideways on the track before I even modded the engine...thankfully I was able to regain control and drift through a tire barrier instead of nailing it.

Didn't make that mistake again

Lol yep it ain't very hard. I almost bit it into a curb not too lomg ago. 4 way stop sign, no body around and nailed it taking a left. The back end started sliding around and over rotating on me. I got off of it and slammed on the brakes with about a foot to spare before plowing into the median.

Pfff, respect? Completely unnecessary.

Just hammer the throttle and go.

Wait, we're not talking about 114hp, 20 year old Civics here?

Not too much power, seems like an idiot to me.
Looks like he started too early and decided to just do an extended burnout instead. Gotta give the fans what they want.

RWD vs AWD

The Hellcat driver was either messing with launch control, didn't have experience with drag racing, or didn't have experience with his new hellcat. He jumped the gun...then nailed it and couldn't lock traction.

That said...the Tesla P85D is just a fucking amazing achievement in engineering.

I would be happy as a pig in shit to have EITHER of those cars in my garage.

Those crash pics are pretty sad. It sucks to see one go out that way. It's all about respecting the cars potential and driving the car to the conditions. It's one thing when you blow it on the track, it's another when you are driving like an ass on the road, which I think it is safe to assume was the case here.

A 98 Viper GTS was probably the scariest car I have ever driven. I never felt in control. The rear end of that car was all over the place. Very easy to lose control even if you are paying attention. All in all, would have loved to really spend some time behind the wheel.

Agreed. Either one would be amazing to own.

P85D vs Charger Hellcat would have been a better comparison; world's quickest production sedan vs world's fastest production sedan.
