And after like 4 years, I'll probably go with FI kit. There are so many kits but AVO turbo or Vortech SC look pretty good. I'm blessed to be in LA area since there are so many reputable shops here.

And more than anything, I'm happy to finally drive a light RWD sports car. I'll start doing some auto x and go to local tracks to learn to drive properly. 2014 is going to be huge. Excited!

Congrats on the brz. I would advise against the RPF1's. those must be the most commons rims in the car scene

And of course, I'll hit you up on a lot of stuff. Thanks for everything.

Any of your friends went FI on it?

I really, really like the AVO turbo kit.

Gonna start myself a little funding for a kit..

One of the vendors on FT86Club. I can't remember the name, but they are out of PA.

I'm going a different direction. I'd like to get $4k for it with everything, but I haven't posted an official FS thread yet on FT86Club.

Everyone and their mom has RPF1s, but I think they still look great on many cars. That lip looks cool, too.

Friend of mine just ordered one in WRB. Can't wait to have a go in it.

Got it. I'll look it up.

Which direction are you going with!? Curious! Good luck on selling the kit man. I'm sure someone will take it away soon. Just don't that your engine blew.

Crickets are coming.

No, not yet! Is yours having it? Is it similar to hpfp noise? My MS3 made the sound sometimes after switching to higher pressure internal.

That blue is sexy. Give it a go on your friend's car. You will want to get one for yourself!

Absolutely, mine has it. The crickets, as they are affectionately known as, emanate from the HPFP. Damn near every 86 has it. It seems to have something to do with the ethanol content in the fuel. More ethanol, more noise.

I see, I see. Hope it's not bad enough for my wife to notice.

What do you think about this glass fog light conversion kit? I was just going to get the HID kit for it, but then found this. Can't really find any info at FT86. Dumb me.

http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/l...rsion-kit.html

By the way, the stock HID is super bright and has a very nice beam cut. It's as bright as my coworker's RX350.

The Legacy uses glass foglights, they're ~$70/pr from the dealer, with bulb. Theyre direct replacements. I have a set that I haven't installed yet.

I wouldn't put HIDs in a foglight, and I definitely wouldn't put them in one with a plastic lens.

That's because they're the same projectors

Didn't know they are same. No wonder they looked... the same.

Should I just put good sized LEDs? I just hate the halogen bulb.

I'm not sure if there are any LED arrays that fit the stock fog light housing and have decent output. I vote rip the fogs out entirely, get a big brake kit, and route the ducting to them from the fog light opening. Then go to the track and have fun.

Wont hurt. Depends how it got here and how well it was covered.. some cars get a film of rail road dust stuck on them. A simple quick clay bar job with a wax & sealant should do the trick. I doubt it needs polishing.

Yes. Use a quality clay or iron remover. These cars spend a few weeks on a boat from Japan and then another week or two at port, not to mention the time they spent in the dealer lot.
