2012 Acura CL Rendering
i posted a few CL photoshops years ago. one popped up this morning as a aziners member's sig, so i thought to myself, what the hell...i downloaded a trial version of photoshop and went to town. i havent done this in a few years, but its like riding a bike. skewing the angles and proportions wasnt that bad. but the side profile, whoa...let me say that the gradients, blurring, smudging, and erasing were a PAIN IN THE ASS. This time around, I learned how to properly use the line tools to outline features with shadow/highlight lines. you could notice this in the door edges and windows - which really pop.
im going to redesign the front and post later tonight...the sketches are already done.
enjoy!

That grille looks much better but the lower bumper needs to be more realistic of a street car. Its amazing how little it would take to get rid of the beak and still have a distinctive look.

to be honest, the grille was the first thing i changed - and the front end was still hideous. there are a lot of different modifications to the front end that are probably not noticeable. every curve and fold of sheetmetal was altered one way or another. the car was basically a blank canvas from the greenhouse down. the body and front end were built with the gradient tool, etc.

the final rendering looks real nice. Now you need to work on the back angle. Imagine if they push this through and leave the back the same

This is too funny a coincidence. Though not being aware of this thread, I was just discussing the need for an Acura CL resurrection with an Acura salesman today....with which he WHOLEHEARTEDLY agreed.
On topic, that "CL" above looks decent....still have to do S O M E T H I N G with that nose though.

Sick-sick-sick PS skillz! Gezus, I might have to reconsider calling myself an expert in PS on my resume.
BTW, love the revised design. I'd actually consider that, although I'd probably still opt for the Accord. I'm biased though.
