The 2011 SEMA Show Picture Thread
Yes I know there's a SEMA thread so get off me. That thread is pretty much dead and I know people don't want to scroll through the random talk and such just to see pictures
Anyways, I was invited by SEMA to attend the show this year. I was let in early this morning before everyone else and took a few pictures with my phone. I brought my DLSR but forgot the damn cord at home, so iPhone pictures will have to do for now.
I took about 30 pictures on my phone, and about 900 on my real camera, but I'm only posting a few to tease everyone
As soon as I stepped out of the taxi this morning...
Inside the building...
Meanwhile outside...
And the new Scion FR-S concept...
More to come tomorrow afternoon! Stay tuned

Alright you hoes, here are some pictures. I took almost 1000 but selected ~280 for your viewing pleasure.
These haven't been edited at all and the show was so packed that I couldn't get any real fancy shots. I was just taking pictures just to take them, not to look like a professional.
No I didn't put spaces between the pictures. Sorry.

I didn't even go into Central Hall today. I'll be hitting that up tomorrow as well as going back to the Aventador and a few other favorites at the show.
So far SEMA has been effing amazing. I'm glad this isn't open to the public because it's hard enough trying to get a decent picture without someone walking in-front of you.
I'll be looking out for the CLK63 Black that's had a thread created about it. I saw jjasha's Genesis coupe but forgot to upload the picture. There are MANY more cars and products to see in the Central Hall so I look forward to posting pictures for everyone!

Wow, yalls comments are better than I thought they would be! I think these pictures suck!
It's so hard to get a decent picture because people are constantly walking in-front of you.
As for some quick responses, yeah I saw the red 5-series wagon. That thing is NASTY! I took pictures of it but I guess I forgot to upload those last night. I'll be making second rounds of everything again today to try to get better pictures.
Like I said before, the pictures that I posted were of cars from North and South hall, along with cars outside. I haven't even visited Central hall yet and that's the biggest of the three

Thanks for the photos yo! I didn't get a chance to go over to SEMA this year being stuck walking the AAPEX show all day Tuesday. Your photos made me feel like I was there minus the sore feet from walking through the giant vastness that SEMA is.

Great pics, Tyler!! Thanks for taking the time to post.
So many great looking cars...and just as many horrible ones. It never ceases to amaze me what some people will waste good money on.

It's a 350Z.
http://www.insideline.com/features/t...sema-2011.html
The Pretend Porsche: Nothing like a little "German" engineering to get the blood pumping, eh? But wait, this is no Stuttgart escapee, this is a...350Z? Oh yeah, thought they might pull one over on us, but that turn signal stalk has Altima written all over it. Sad to see this much work go into a car that's just pretending to be something else, but such are the ways of SEMA.

Hey Tyler cool has pictures! Good meeting you! Vegas and SEMA crazy right? Thanks for the pictures. If any questions about the Pamera Z, VIP modular had that flown over from Japan. The owner spent 100k on that project at least, and 8k to ship it. he bought all real panamera fenders, headlights, tailights, even the Porsche key fob. The quality and craftsmanship of that car is superb and you will need to see it in person to appreciate it.

Nah I didn't do any of the after parties or any of that shit.
That Chevy was gorgeous. You can't see it in the picture but it's from Alberta, Canada.
I'm pretty sure I have more pictures of it. I've got almost 1300 to sort through so give me some time
The Grape Jelly TL is hawt son! I don't know what you're talking about
No problem! I couldn't fly all the way out here and take 1000+ pics and NOT post them to Acurazine
How was the AAPEX show?
Dude, artsy pictures and eye candy are fun to look at, but your pictures are perfect. No weird angles, no photographer trying to take the best pictures hes ever taken of every single car...in your pics we get the whole car in most cases with no obstructions or over the top lens flare.

While there were some gorgeous and tasteful cars, a few had me wondering why they were there

Nice meeting up with you dude! Did you make into South Hall to see the Aventadors and such?
While I can respect the work and money put into the Porsche/Z, I'm still not a fan. BUT if his goal was to get people to look at it, then he did a great job. People were all over that thing.
What happened to the Range? Sounds like someone has pretty shitty luck.
So I went back to the show this morning and went through Center Hall where the performance parts are. Shit was massive! I checked out the WCC area as well and I was pretty dissapointed with what they brought out. I forgot to check out the CLK63 today (fuck!) but overall I saw everything I wanted to see.
Anyways I only took about 225 pictures today so it shouldn't take me too long to sort through them and decide what I want to post.

Alright, here's a shit ton more pictures that I took today. You'll see that the Chevrolet area was pretty cool. They had the new ZL1 Camaro and the COPO Camaro as well.
I still have close to 800 pictures from yesterday that I have to sort through and edit. Do you guys even want to see those? I'll upload them if you want but if not, they will just sit where they are
Once again my pictures aren't perfect. My camera and I weren't getting along today and a lot of my pictures came out underexposed. I edited them and brightened them up a bit but some became overexposed. Fml.
Anyways, here you go. Enjoy and "thank" my post
I LOLed...
Let me know if yall want to see more pictures that I took yesterday

NP, i dont take offense easily, since i got the new wheels its been hit or miss with these forum boards, which i figured would happen. Many on here seem to be more conservative. Should have seen peoples reactions at SEMA to my wheel fitment lol, they were all mind fu*cked. Even my tire sponsor was like OMG your tire stretch is insane.

Definitely some scary stuff there, but the awesome that you get to see out weighs it, in my opinion. The only problem with SEMA coverage is that it reinforces how much I want a new car because I see cars I want and some of the cool stuff you can do to them . Still, I love how you've posted more pics than any of the online car mags...their paid people have done less than a guy doing it simply because he can .

You still have more too, don't you? I think I saw you mention you hadn't even made it to the Central Hall yet. And being one of the only areas where I remember any cars, I haven't seen those yet. Bring'em on!
I was there for work, and since we don't do any of the flashy stuff at our company my boss and I just avoid the most of the areas where it is and stay focused. So I greatly appreciate you going to all this work to share b/c this is actually how I am seeing most of the show too! Sad, I know.
I saw you make a comment about it being a pain to take pics b/c of all the people. Not to bash you, b/c I truly do appreciate being able to see what I couldn't in person, but you also have to look at this from the other side.
In my case a lot of the people there (my boss and I included) are not there for fun and on a tight schedule to accomplish as much as possible in the short amount of time our company allows. Having to stop to try not to walk in front of people taking pics is also a pain.
But I am subscribing b/c I want to see more and be able to share with my friends what I saw but couldn't take pics of. I don't even take my camera to eliminate the distraction.

I spend most of my time outside of Regions; I just spend NONE in 3G. I can't help that you sometimes fail and post things there .

Trust me, walking around and getting up close and personal with those cars makes me wonder why I mod my car
I'm really impressed with the new Charger. The interior is downright gorgeous and it's much more aggressive looking than the last model.
Attending SEMA has always been a dream of mine. Year after year I look at the coverage and have always said, "there has to be more than that". Like you said, I feel like there are hundreds of professional photographers there with their fancy equipment, yet they only take a few hundred pictures. Yeah sure, their pictures may turn out better than mine, but at least I covered just about everything at the show.

I understand that the show isn't just for shits and giggles. It's a HUGE and vital part to most car part manufacturers. I know it's a serious event and people aren't going to put my pictures as a priority.
BUT when I'm standing a few feet from a car with my camera up to my eye, and someone steps right in front of me and doesn't move, it's frustrating. It takes all of 3 seconds to notice that I'm taking a picture, wait a second for me to push the button, and then once I say thank you, you can move back over. I'm not asking for much
I'll sort through my photos once again and see if I can find what pictures I haven't uploaded yet. I'm not sure how many there will be, some of them are duplicates, but I'll see what I can do
