I've taken shits looking better than that.
I was never a big fan of the CLS' raised eyebrow headlight design. They took it one step further on the ugliness scale with this one.

C'mon guys, challenge yourselves to analyze the design! Its good for you. Be sure to see the pics that Bdog references in post #13.
Overall, I think it looks pretty good. The interior is gorgeous and very well laid out. It carries a good sense of proportion, and the overall look doesn't strike me as one of a big, heavy car.....which is exactly what it is. Looks like the design uses the trick of flaring the side sills and doors at the bottom, which gives a strong substantial look to the bottom half of the car...without making it look slab sided at the top. Wheels look proportional, and are an appropriate design for the bodystyle.
OK, that being said,
The front end is somewhat fussy, with the raised eyebrow headlight clusters and the chiseled creases in the front fascia and hood. Notice the elongated hood bulges throwing back to the original SL pictured in Python's post #9. Also not quite sure I groove with the raised front fender line that ends at the top of the side-view mirror. Makes it look a little chunky and out of place.
All in all, pretty good from where I sit, but I'd really like to see it in the flesh to make a pronounced judgement.
