2005 Toyota Tundra

Anyone have one? Anyone owned one? Thoughts and opinions are welcome.

I'm looking for a Phantom Gray Pearl or Blue SR5 Access cab with: Automatic, V8, TRD Sport Package, & Tow pkg. I want the regular bed (non-flareside) and NO fender flares. Here's a pic of the gray truck

I cannont find a truck like this anywhere! Anyone ever ordered one? How long did it take? How much under/over invoice did you pay?

I've owned 3 different 4x4 F150's and I want to downsize in both payment and truck. My current F150

The new tacoma is damn near as big as the Tundra but I doubt you would be able to put a tow package on it as you would want to. That Lariat is the Texas Lexus though, you should keep it. How much are those going for no adays?.

Don't get me wrong, I like my F150, but I want to downsize both my truck and my payment. I was offered $22,000 at a Toyota dealer for my F150.

I got a 02 regular cab 4x4 v-8 Tundra . no major problems. it has 35k on it. only thing is the dealer is an assbag I bought it from.(long story). My only complaint about the actual truck is if you live in rural areas(like i do) the paint on the bottom is weak so it chips easy. they don't do a soft chip paint. we live in the country so we have a lot of rocks/gravel. when you go over that it kicks it up and chips it fairly well. I'm gonna have to repaint it in a couple years. overall on a scale of 1-10(1 being crap and 10 being awesome) i'd give the tundra a 7.5. it does decent on gas 20 mpg highway.
BTW: get the fenderflares that will help with the paint. my truck doesn't have fender flares(it's a SR5) and i haven't got the money yet to get em off e-bay and have my body shop shot em and install em.

the only thing bad about the tundra from what i heard is lack of HP...but i think they changed that in the 05 model year...with HP close to 300...

other then that...probably the best truck in the market..~ but its little smaller then a full size IMO~~

P.S..if you get it.....put TRD S/C in that thing~

4.7L 282hp V8 with VVTi, 325lbft @ 3400rpm

IMO, both F-150 and Tundra are underpowered. I would pick Nissan Titan if I am looking for a truck: 5.6L 305hp V8, 379lbft @ 3600rpm

I've heard that some Toyota dealers install the TRD S/C and is covered for the remainder of the warranty on the truck.

I don't give a fuck about your sophmoric opinion of power or what truck you'd pick.

If you really are hard up for the most power from a truck, why wouldn't you pick a truck that comes equiped with a diesel like in 3/4 tons and up?

Wait, don't answer. I DON"T GIVE A SHIT!

one of my friends has the tundra with a roll bar and lights, he LOVES it and itsi great off road (theres a place where every idiot in high school used to go off roading in a muddy lot and get stuck and he would tow them out with his winch), he hasn't had many issues in terms of reliability, ill get specifics when im home in a few days

Why should they ban me because I responded to an ignorant comment that you made about what truck you'd like to have?

Oh, and thanks for your advice on threadlocking! You are now officially a wanna' be mod!

if you knew what was best you wouldn't turn away members comments on trucks or trucks in the same class. keeping an open mind isn't going to hurt your car buying decision

This is what makes me want to never return to this forum.

I've been a member much longer than some of the people calling me a

Sorry I don't get my post count higher with worthless posts that consist of nothing more than or or

I also thrilled to get worthless advice from people who have no experience with any vehicle other than their Acuras that their fucking parents bought them.

Most of the folks on this board are good people, with ample knowledge of many cars, but some of you guys are just fucking forum jockeys wanting to spout off your shit-ass opinions just for the sake of posting.

I specifically asked for information about 2005 Toyota Tundras and what do I get? A couple of guys who gave me great feeback and valuable input, but also a bunch of dumb fucking retards posting shit about Tacomas and Titans and F150's. If you don't know shit about Tundras then why bother to post?

Oh wait, it's to get your post count higher so people won't call you a

Here's some advice for you folks who decided to chime in with your worthless opinions
