Thanks everyone for the kind words.

The S2k was not really high on my list because it did not have heated seats, but an opportunity to walk away with a $30k+ car for < $400/m and NOTHING out of pocket, I had no choice.

BTW, this car handles like nothing I have driven, excluding the 986 Boxster S.

I was very, very close to buying one but was a little uncomfortable not being able to see out of the windshield if I got too close to a light...drove it for the better part of the weekend...great car otherwise though and still give it some thought as a second car someday.

That is a valid point. It has been a great second car for me!

I would love to pick one of these up for a second toy car, but I just can't fit-my knee is wedged inbetween the steering wheel and lower part of the dashboard/upper part of the transmission tunnel.

If it wasn't for this, I would already be driving one.

Fortunately I fit very well (5'10" 174 lbs) in the car, but think it is silly that the car does not have tilt wheel!

The car had a symbol 24 out of 27. Pretty high.

I imagine the rate will ultimately depend on location, deductables, coverage and driving record.

When I swapped my cl-s for an s2000 my insurance went up $60/6 months.

(This was before I was 25).

You may want to look into it... I was tossed up between an Elise and the S2k right now I am 99% sold on the honda. I priced both from my insurance company, the Elise was $720/6 months, the S2000 is $810/ 6 months. I was confused why the Elise was less then the S2000, but its not the end of the world. For the record I am 24 with a spotless record, amd both policies had substantially larger then minimum coverage.
