sedan now looks like coupe, guess they did away with the cheap black plastic at the bottom that forced you to get the $2000 aero kit, if you wanted a decent looking car.

The interior looks much better then the current design.
I’m glad to see they’ve graduated from the 80’s to the mid 90’s

Throw in the AWD from the sedan and keep the 6 Speed manual and Shawn will be REALLY impressed.

The coupe didn't see any sort of an exterior facelift, only the sedan. So you don't have to worry.

In all honesty, I would rather have what I have now. Not a fan of 19" wheels... Christ, the suspension is already stiff. I can't imagine rollin' on 19s too...

And Zapata did bring up a good point... WHY VLSD??? The current LSD in the G is much better.

And 15 extra ponies... Bragging rights mostly.

Now the interior I'd have to see in person. They did change some things, which will probably make things look nicer. But I like the current design. It's quiet, no rattles, functional...

I wonder what will happen to the MSRP? My guess is $1000 more.

I like the interior the way it is too, Scrib. I think until you live in it for a while, you don't see how functional it is. The haters can get bent...don't hold your breath for a RWD Acura anything.

You see any major differences that would sway your vote that much?

I'm too busy looking out the windshield to see where I am hurtling at above legal speeds. Who gives a rat's ass about the interior?

The downside is that they don't act like a limited slip until one wheel actually starts slipping (i.e., they don't prevent slippage), which means the VLSD action often kicks in after you've already exited the corner. Compared to the proactive nature of the Torsen LSDs, the VLSDs are reactive units.

Nissan uses these currently in the low end Zs. The higher end Zs and and Gs use a traditional LSD setup.

why did they go through the trouble of swapping speedo and RPM gauges????? this interior is a bit nicer, but all they pretty much did was trim down the aluminum material and add more colored plastics

Minor cosmetic differences. 15 horses might be just a bit of difference. Not worh extra $1000 (if true)

I said it was an IMPROVEMENT inside, I didn’t say it was as good as anything Honda/Acura has done in the last 10-years.

According to the Infinit site, we have V-LSD now? http://www.infiniti.ca/eng/models/g35coupe/specs/

Nissan loves to BS their horsepower ratings for marketing......from the altima to the maxima to the G35. I doubt the engine is any different from the previous year. I'd love to see a dyno comparo between an 04 and 05.

If anything, Nissan under-rates the G35 sedan. Go look at dynos from stock G35 sedan 6-speeds and CLS 6-speeds...the CLS is lower than the G35s. Does that mean that Acura is bull$hiting about the CLS hp? BTW, the G35sedan usually dynos around 225-235 depending on the run. The coupe dynos I've seen have been around 230-235hp (all manuals).

Ever read ATL? They hate the G35 over there.

Nissan did it once and learned its lesson, it has not done it again, and hopefully they will nt do it in the future.

Mazda however, failed to learn their lesson with the Miata a few years ago, and went ahead and did it with the RX-8 as well.

The 3.5 VQ is putting out 280 in the coupes, and they can get 300 out of it, why is it not questioned when Acura says they are gonna get 300 out of a 3.5 V6 in the next RL?

2k2, besides the Q45 incident when they rolled out the new V8...I'd like to see proof of the 3.5 being overrated in any of its iterations...until then...:noob: cause there is plenty of proof showing that it does what Nissan says.

They don't hate it...its people that blow the G35 out of proportion that cause people to resent the G. Both are good cars but I believe that most people at A-TL are very reasonable. Now you go to IS300.net and man, they HATE anything that isn't Lexus. They say the G35 has bad resale, quality, blah blah blah. Absolute Bull$HIT. I drive the IS300 often (one of my housemates has one) and its not all that.
