that thing is a fuckin BOAT!!! what an ugly profile, the sides are terrible, the window design is terrible....what is Nissans logic of making the altima as big or bigger than the current maxima and turning the maxima into a boat?? that thing will probably weigh about 4000 lbs with worse weight distribution than a CL-S...and considering how much a 3.5 loaded altima costs (about 28k) where does that put the maxima?? 35-38k???? for a maxima?? for a nissan?? thats insane. anyone heard the latest on the lawsuit about the horsepower thing with altimas and current maximas dynoing the same even though the max is supposed to be 15hp more?? im interested to see the numbers on this max, are they gonna drop the 280 hp 3.5 motor in it from the G35/350Z??

Okay... look at the hi-res version... the rear center mirror is useless.. you can't see shit with it...
And you would gota love those 4x4 fender gaps... they put the CLS to shame in this department.

Well, I think we are all in a minority since Altima is selling like hot cakes and I am sure this Maxima will as well.
I took a closer look at a 3.5s Altima and I just cant find a way to like it. Just fugly and now this Maxima, this is gonna be rough for the Nissan. :duh:???
However, they do have the Z and it is sorta nice, although interior is cheap and there is some sort of an orange peel problem with the paint. The new SUVs coming out are nice as well. So while there is some hope, there are these two boats, Altima and Maxima, mainstream crap. Sad.

Come on guys, granted it's not the sexiest thing out there, but neither is our CL's. They don't exactly turn peoples heads when we drive by. Honda/Acura has to be about THE most boring stable of cars there are, maybe second to Toyota.

I'd never buy it, its the first year they start making them in US instead of Japan.... I bet there will be quality issues.... It will be the first trial..... I'd wait till 2005 so they can fix all the mistakes...

looks like an fwd
the front brake rotors and pads are immensly larger than the rear which indicate FWD
If it was awd, the rotors would not be much diff in size
if thats fwd , i don't imagine it being 310hp
p.s. it looks like shit, the new accord looks so much better esp. if one modifies the grill and lowers it

I don't like the shape of the Lexus GS, I don't like the shape of the Altima, I don't like the shape of the G35 Sedan, and I don't like the shape of this.
I like'em low and sleek, not fat and bulbous.
just my .01
