THE 2003 TL - S opinion?

Hello. This forum has really helped me in the past with my CL.
I'm wanting to purchase the 2003 TL- S in BLACK Love -this car.
Can you tell me any history of problems I should be aware of? Is the tranny reliable?
Thank you guys

There is a history of Transmission failure, which is replaced at no charge by the dealer when within the 100k mile warranty. After 100k, you pretty much assume any risk of failure yourself (I'm at 108k miles on my CL-S )
Other than that, it's a pretty good car. Some annoying rattles here and there, but overall a good car.

Tranny and brake problems are the same. If you get one with low miles, I say go for it, but keep in mind that the tranny can go at anytime.

If it has less than 100k miles, and you don't plan on keeping it 100k miles, then get it. If not... well... you know the rest

OR 7 years from the in service date... with an 03, it's not as big of a deal, but with some of the 01's (in service date of sept 2000) they'll be out of warranty next year even if they have low mileage

Oh wow Green. i didnt really think about how old the 2nd gen is these days. Usually when the thought of 100k or 7 years comes to my mind, I just ignore the 7 years part.
