2003 Honda Civic Foglights Stopped Working

OK, so my wife's 2003 Civic foglights stopped working. Normal solution is to check the fuses where the foglights are attached right? No dice, all, and I mean every single fuse, is working correctly. Next potential solution is to check the wire connections right? No dice. All of the wires are connected correctly, or at least there was no evidence of any wire becoming disconnected.

I even checked the in-line foglight fuse, and it's still working. I don't know why the foglights stopped working like that. Anyone have any tips?

Next thing I'm going to check tomorrow is the grounds, but the two grounds for the fog lights themselves seem to be solid (and are ground on each wheel well in the engine bay).

I even went so far as to take each foglight out and test it on my Accord (both have H11 bulbs in the foglight locations), and the Civic foglights work on my Accord, so I know it's NOT the foglights.

1.) Bad wiring somewhere.

I know it's not the relay because every time I turn on my wife's lights, the relay clicks on. It even clicks on when I press the switch for the foglights, but the lights themselves fail to turn on.

Thoughts?

I think relays are pretty much same, you should try switching them around. Sometimes when a relay clicks it still can be bad because of all the contact points getting "burned" over period of time and continuous use. Also check the switch it self.

The switch itself seems to be OK. I can tell when it is on and not on by the fact that the switch light comes on when I press it, so I know the switch is working...

Could a relay stop working even though I could still hear it click when I turn on the lights?

Just because the green is on the switch doesnt mean the power is going through it.

I'd pop the switch out and do a continuity test on it before tearing anything else apart.

I did have a light tester. I grounded one end, and touched four of the five wires (excluding obviously the ground), and they all lit the light up. So the switch is getting power, but its not being translated to the lights somehow.

Also, I could care less about the switch. If the lights are on, I want the foglights on.

I hear ya, the diagram I saw (im trying to find it) showed that the power was interrupted at the switch then sent to the relay to turn on the lights.

So if you saw power out of the switch then you have resolved that.

Gah, I figured out what it was. The one wire going into the fuse holder was disconnected, even though black electrical tape was on it. It had come loose somehow. I took out the metal clip, inserted the wire back in, put the clip back into the fuse holder, and it work!
