What about the 01 CLS?
Well, at least its a step in the right direction, but auto-up button has not worked for anything. I had it to the dealer 4 times and no resolution (however the problem only appears when it is extremelly hot outside). Still a recall is needed for the CL as well.

no doubt...but it's not like everyone has seen it....and it's the first time on this board. So not old news for everyone, and hopefully ppl who are affected and read this can get it taken care of, Thats what these forums are for...I dont mind reposted info as long as it's useful.

Depending on the failure mode, the window could become inoperative, open or close independent of switch activation, or the auto-reverse system may not operate. The auto-reverse system failure could result in occupant injury.
All recalls have a safety-related aspect. No safety-related aspect, no recall. A poorly designed transmission that has no safety-related aspects does not qualify for a recall.

Recall notices were sent out months ago though (may or so).
It only affects 2002 TL's and not CL's.
If you didn't recieve the notice, then you don't have
the recall. It was only very early production, hence the
slow roll out of the TL in the first place.
Just an FYI, so no need to go harass your dealer for warranty
work, cause all of it should be fixed by now. If not, they'll let
you know when you go in for oil change.
