can a 2000 TL beat a crossfire or is the crossfire to fast???

 

I have a '03 TL-S and I have gotten beat by a Crossfire, close but he beat me. A CL-S 6speed or a 04 and up TL 6 speed might be a different story.

 

i hope it was an SRT-6... cuz a regular crossfire should be about even with a tl-P.

 

btw by regular i meant 215hp, 5sp auto

 

NO WAY in hell can a stock TL-P beat a Crossfire. There's a Crossfire, TL-P and CL-S in my club and we've run them all and the stock CL-S can take out the Crossfire with 2 carlengths. My TL which is no where near stock can take the Crossfire and the CL-S, but I know for a fact at stock the Crossfire would beat a TL-P no problem.

 

Cool Xfire:
275hp/270 torque 2.7L supercharged V6.
0-60: 5.8s
1/4mi: 13.9s

Shitty Xfire:
3.2l V6 w/ 215hp @ 5700, 229torque at 3000 rpm
0-60: 6.5s
1/4mi: 14.8s

I guess this about cover it. Stock vs Stock, tl-p will loose to both, BADLY. -S will loose 1 and beat the other. Only a S/C tl-s could beat a cool Xfire...or w/ lots of bolt ons

 

Thinking back, that was around the time that I figured out my bypass valve actuator wasn't working. That would explain why I lost. So let me correct myself a type s should win against the regular Crossfire

 

Yeah, I run even with the sucky Crossfires, beat one barely at a track.

The performance numbers sound about right as thats what mine are.

 

The SRT-6 Crossfire has the same S/C 3.2L V6 engine as the SLK32 AMG but with 330HP and 310lb-ft of torque. They can run 0-60 in 5s flat and the 1/4 mile in 13.5s @ 107 MPH.

 

Yeahh....TL-P and TL-S would get owned by a Crossfire, and raped by a Crossfire SRT-6

Gotta love those MB...my dad's C32 AMG has a S/C 3.2l v6 AT (AT w/ MT dynamics) w/ 354hp/332trq...0-60~4.8s 13.2~1/4mi...redline @ 6000, but it has so much trq and it chirps 2->3 (~85) and still pulls like crazy after 130mph!...dont tell my dad i drove it!

However, they look like a dog squatting taking a shit (watch Top Gear's review of it and you'll know what I mean ) . I don tknow if it's just me, but even if it can beat a TL-P, would you really want to drive that thing? If the looks weren't enough, its a CHRYSLER!!
