2 hatchbacks, which one do u prefer?

A3 2.0T: I4 + TURBO

MINI COOPER S: I4 + SC

Both FWD, A3 is more expensive, but faster...

which one do u prefer?

PS: so many ppl said mini is a chick car, not suit for man, what do u think?

Mini

I like the car for its merits, not because its "cute" (I leave that for my girlfriend)

One thing I do like though, is the A3's interior. Better than the Mini in every way.

Legacy?

I would have to say the A3.

I have seen some very nice Minis around though.

Mini handles like a dream but the A3 is roomier. I also like DSG...

All other factors aside,.........I would want to kill myself having to look at the ridiculous looking instrument set-up in the mini,.........so A3, among other reasons (ie room/looks).

That said, I have not driven either and the driving dynamics is really impt of course.

I voted A3

Oh, legacy?

Mini, because its design is timeless. I'd get it in blue or red or black.

I really dislike the widemouth bass look of today's Audi's. It looks as if they saw the success of Chrysler 300's and asked their designers "what a quick and cheap way to redesign our cars to make the grilles look larger?" Nor am I too impressed with the A3's interior.

Mini ftw!

Better yet, look at a Civic Si or an Accord V6.

So, mini got better handling, and A3 got more HP... but, A3 is a little bit overpriced...

some of my friend told me that the transmission is not so good in the mini cooper s~

I voted A3 only because the mini looks like too small of a car, but both are nice.

and the pic CSI posted looks hot

If I didn't have to put any children in the backseat I'd take the Mini. I'm told there's legroom for adults back there, but not for children if they can't bend their legs at the knees.

That is TIGHT!

Mini all the way - its a classic. Timeless, good on gas, and its "german" because of BMW's hand in it. If you reckon that you won't be using the additional space of the A3 very often, I'd go Mini.

I've checked out the A3 quick extensively in the showroom. The interior of the 2.0T wasn't too dressy or anything, but in typical Audi fashion, the materials and build quality was almost faultness. Some things, like the driver and passenger sunvisors (i think) struck me as a bit cheap. My biggest beef with that car was the price. Pile on the options are it can go north of 30k.

I wish they'd make a plateless front grille.

My photosohopped version:

i voted a3, cause i'm kinda tired of the mini. the retro this was cool at first, but i lost interest.

course the mini will probably age better, audi's and vw's for me always tend to show their age rather quickly.
