Get this, the owner won't let me take it to the local Porsche dealer. I told him I didn't think he wanted me to drop it off so he's happy to drop it off for me. I'd pay the cost.

He tells me to have the garage where it's parked go over it and give me a report. Um, I believe I was born on a Saturday, but it wasn't yesterday.

Is this guy serious. Luckily it sounds like you guys don't think it's a good deal anyway.

Would love something with a somewhat usable back seat (for small kids) obviously that rules out the Vette but I'm still open to it.

For those that keep saying NSX, show me something under $35K that either doesn't have a gazillion miles or is 15 years old.
....have you considered a M3 vert?

I was going to buy one, but I bought a house instead... LOL... housing market FAIL...

and BTW, after driving a vert for less than a year, I can tell you there in absolutely no way I will live without one again... well, that is God's will being such...

I definitely agree Sith....especially in Houston. Driving with the top down in 77 degree weather in December is something I certainly didnt get to enjoy in NJ.

Hopefully you can bring out the merc at the next meet Sith.

Sorry, I forgot to say...that I almost bought a C6 bf the SLK last year... but the SLK (which is a whole different kid of car and much older, I know) was a better buy and I had always wanted a hard top vert...

They really do nothing for me. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Its all good man, I feel ya!

Finding a 4 seater vert that evokes strong emotions is hard... finding a good, fast vert, well, the C6 would be my choice... beautiful, fast and they actually get good gas mileage to boot!

I've driven a few new Camaros and I can't see out of that thing to save my life. Granted the OP's will be a 'vert, but visibility is still pretty low. The windshield is small and the blind spots are horrendous.

Just my observations of course, you may not feel the same way. Good luck with your car hunt

I dunno. I just can't justify buying a 15 year old car for that price.
Thanks for all of the PMs

I totally understand... the NSXt really holds its value... very nice, low mileage examples are very hard to come by...

I drove a Camaro on Christmas for about 40 mins (its my BIL's DD)... I was very impressed with the car... it sounds great and was really quick, had a tight turning radius and had a ride that wasn't too harsh, but not too soft either... I also had no problems seeing out of it... but I do drive an SLK and a CL... neither of which have the best greenhouses... in a vert, the Camaro would be amazing... given that the body does not develop and creaks and groans over time... all IMVHO

Not a vert but nice, the guy is having a kid, so he has to get rid of it.
