So my sisters car, a 1997 Accord LX 4cyl automatic needed smog and it failed. The report says its running too lean but I am confused with these numbers. I don't know anything about smog, so seeking a little help. The tech who smogged it said replacing O2 sensors SHOULD fix the problem but he didn't tell me anything for sure.. Following is the copy of the smog report...




Any words of advice??

 

Get new O2 sensors

Its a common problem

 

she has a CEL for o2 sensors, i would probably replace those.

 

CELs will make you fail smog automatically, repace the sensors.

 

Sweet. Sounds like easy fix.

 

Don't forget to replace the gas cap too.
