1979 Ford F150

Hello:

I'm a teacher and my school acquired a 1979 Ford 150. I've been put in charge of turning this into a "spirit truck," aka I get a stipend for modding! Anyhow, they want the following: (1) vinyl wrap, (2) lift, (3) wheels and tires, and (4) new upholstery. That said, any idea of how much this would cost? I have no experience in the truck world (just TSXes and SIs). Thanks in advance!

If you're talking just the parts, I'll take a stab at it.

-Wrap: ~$150 for entire truck
-Lift: ~$1,000
-Wheels and Tires: $1,000 to $2,000
-Upholstery: $400 to $1,000

wrap is going to be WAY more than 150...

Also depends on if its just one color, or a graphic.

Good point. Considering that we want to wrap the entire visible surface area in a plaid design (it's a Scottish school), what would you say?

Considering its for a school I'm sure a local shop would be more than happy to take the work on at a discount. Perhaps in exchange for some small advertising... Visit some shops in the area and see what they say.

Good point. There is a shop, Family Classic Cars, who has already expressed interest in a partnership in the project.

Someone on the FR-S forum got a quote of $2k to wrap their car. That car is only slightly larger then an MX-5. I can't imagine the wrap on an F150 being less.

Unless, of course, you buy the vinyl and do it yourself.
