right.

a 13.49 would be a nice stock run for an m3. to go a second quicker you need ~ 100 more hp.

your link doesn't work either.

More like 13.3-13.5 from owners, not magazines.

Link works half the time.

12.49 @ only 109mph means he had an awesome launch. Looked that way too. Most likely around 1.5-1.7 That is CRAZY by the way.

Nah, chips don't do much at all for E46 M3s since they're so highly strung and tuned from the factory.

109mph means two things: He is either significantly lightened, or pushing 330-350whp - it not stock either way!

Notice anything wierd here? The M3 ran 12.497 and the Mustang ran 13.58 - it was like 2 car lengths behind!

The lights can always act wierd... sometimes if the lights at the tree don't quite process the initial roll-out, it freaks out. There were tricks folks used to do in the 'ol days by putting very low front-lip spoilers and side-skirts to trick the lights.

That pass was most likely a 13.1 or 13.2 IMO.

The only thing that gets me is that motor is a time bomb with any kind of forced induction. So he prolly has a 50-75 shot that he sprayed during that run. A 50-75 shot with the mods listed for his car should get him into the 12's easily. But stock, no way. There is no way that exhaust, pullies, tires and a chip will get you a whole freakin second off the M. My cousine has an M with intake, dinan chip, exhaust, and some other stuff that he spent a ton of money on and his car dynoed 8 whp more than stock.
