For me, it's

M3
CTS-V
C63
IS-F

In that order. M3 topples the list, CTS-V and C63 are more like 2a and 2b. My friend went from a E39 540i to a 2011 350-Fsport. The Lexus performance is just not comparable. Perhaps in a straight line, but any discussion about handling will put Lexus at the bottom of the list. That's of course, comparing different models but I cannot imagine the M3 and ISF comparison is going to sway much in any other direction.

finally got to sit in a CTS-V at the car show, loved it. My choice hands down. I love the way it looks, the interior, performance, sound....

I think if youre worried about having too much power you can be reassured by the CTS-V owners on the board. A C6 Z06 would be suitable for daily driver duty (in terms of ease and comfort), I'm confident a V would be even easier on you.

To each his own I suppose. I'll remember this post on the day I pick up an E63 AMG, which will hopefully be a garage mate to my GT-R.

Back on topic, aside from the faux exhaust tips and bulging hood (both a la Mazdaspeed6) there's nothing wrong with the IS-F. But between the two, the V is the way to go.

The V is a pulley swap away from 600HP!

No contest, but I do like the IS-F, it just comes in 2nd place.

For the record, I really like the ISF. I just think the CTS-V is a better choice under the circumstances.

ricey, but hot! IMO

BTW, the OP's poll on the CL thread has the inversed results. 45-12, in favor of the ISF.

I hate them.

But I'm biased toward sporty rims. I don't really believe in luxury rims. haha

Is that even possible? By definition it comes from the factory in typical bizarro-Japanese overstyling.

Yes the changes made in the 2011 have been said to fix the short comings in the 2008-2010. I haven't gotten to drive one yet but there have been many that have already traded in and switched to the 2011 model and all of them have said it is better. The new wheels for 2012 are really nice as well.
