I heard 09 subaru impreza wrx will have 265 horsepower and 244 lbs ft of torque from 08's 224 hp 226 torque..that is a huge increase...
I know stock 09 wrx will beat stock 04~06 6speed manual TL
but with mods like AEM CAI + greddy evo 2 catback + ATLP J Pipe + ATLP high cat or race pipe..I think it will be an interestin drag race...
since 09 wrx has about 300lbs less curb weight advantage..it is hard to say which one is faster...

To me, it's more of what you are rather looking for in a car.

If you want more luxury, go with the TL.

If you are looking for performance, go for the WRX.

Stock WRX's are low to mid 14 second cars, same as the 6MT TL. However, they have MUCH better modding potential than a TL, and most of the ones looking for trouble on the streets are far from stock.
