So I'm planning on purchasing a manual car for my father. He currently has an F-150 and gas is killing him on his daily commute for work. I've run these two cars by him and he is leaning towards the STI. What do you guys think is the better of the two?

 

Are you serious? For your dad? Oooookay....

They're very similar in performance.... I prefer the looks of the Evo, and the interior, though both have sexy interiors. The STi has less harsh suspension stock, and the boxer-4 sounds sweet. Can't really go wrong with either one, though I'd think your dad would prefer the STi

 

my pick would be the EVO. The front of the EVO looks soo effin mean. but i wouldnt mind having either.

 

not sure your dad who probably is 40-50 should drive an sti/evo... if u're thinking about gas, try a corolla or camry or something O.o

 

he's just turning 41 this yr and he wanted a gt500 originally...so its up to him not me...this is the least i can do

the STi is definitely not for someone over 6'. he should get an evo!

 

Evo....no question.

 

if he wants a pure performance, like 0-60 times..... EVO smokes Subaru.
Subaru does better at the top end, with a slightly faster 1/4 mile.
Subaru also has a better look for his age IMO.

 

From what I've read, the STi is less harsh and a better DD than the EVO. I also like the unique sound of the boxer engine.

My pick would be the STi.

STi if you want a ride quality not as harsh...but, otherwise, you can't go wrong with either?
