06 evo 9 mr

I am thinking about getting an evo 9 mr , and well it seems like the car is gonna be about 40k out the door. I was just trying to get some opinions about the car and what you think about it?

I thought the car was no way worth 40k , with its ugly interior and all. But i went today to a dealership and saw it in person and it looked pretty nice than i thought.

Also for those that may know is this a car that hard to get for a bit above invoice? Cause i know its a limited production car but the dealerships here in the bay area have on average 5-8 06' evo 9 mr's in stock.

36,XXX out the door w/o any options.

You know maintenance is gonna be $$$$$$. Ontop of oilchanges I heard you have to change your diff fluid and that costs close to $400 alone.

I don't get it... mitsu is still selling the RS w/ the evo 8 rear bumper? Doesnt the new IX bumper have a rear diffuser etc...? www.mistubishicars.com

If you can get the RS, id stick with that. Same engine, just a little different on the outside which you can upgrade anyways to look like the MR.. If you really care about the weight difference then stick with the MR.

man 40k seems like a hell of a big price tag for that car. 30k is about tops for what I would pay for that car.

2 of my friends have Evo's. A fun car but I think 40k is way too much to pay for it. I'd prefer to get the regular Evolution IX and not the MR package and save the $$ for aftermarket parts. I like the Evo, but it is not exactly comfortable, quiet or very easy to drive. I'd probably want to see how the Evo X turns out and if it's not to your liking, you can always get a good deal on the IX

Should be out for the 07 model year, the recent Concept X should give you a good idea of what the car will look like. Obviously there will be some changes to the official design.

Well you're in the minority on that one, lot of people seem to think it looks aggressive and promising.

So with that, get a current Evo and be done with.

I like the MR's Bilstein's and 6spd transmission, the 6sps being a large reason why I wouldn't get back into a standard Evo.
