A few additions:
Homelink/auto dim mirror in, V1 hardwired mounted to rearview mirror, VLSD will be delivered today then go for 4.08 gear install.

Megan headers were dropped off at Jet Hot today.

I replaced the Fujita filter with this Amsoil filter.

10k motor replaced in December under warranty.

I have the UR underdrive pulley set.

UPS and FedEx just had a convention outside my house:

Stereo/Nav from my dead CL will be going in plus new pair of Image Dynamic
CXS64 V.2 Components and a pair of CXS64 V.2 - Image Dynamics 6.5" 4 ohm mid bass drivers in back.

VLSD getting 4.08 gears today.

Wow, didn't take long for the mods to start pouring in, huh? Very nice! So I'm assuming the 4.08 gears are going to completely transform it into a 1/4 mile beast? How does it affect highway driving? Is it your daily driver?

It reduces the top end from the cutoff at 159 where I'd never go to about 140 based on my research.
Stock is 3.538, the guy doing it that has it in his car said mileage is only degraded if you are on it alot just like stock but it transforms off the line performance which is what I really want.
Yes it is my new daily.

I guess I'm a little late but sorry to hear about your accident in the CLS but looks like your already found your silver lining. I love the color that would be the color I would choose if I was to get a Z.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. I really love the color too & I also am not a fan of the 370's headlights/taillights & third brake light.
Although not having the rear strut bar take up the bulk of the hatch would be nice. I had to use the CR-V to take the VLSD in to be geared.
Speaking of the VLSD I just got back from dropping it off, Tuesday or Wednesday it goes in.
The owner of the shop said it is like an 80hp increase!!!!!
He said identical cars lined up, the one with the gears will have three car lengths in the 1/4mi!
I am surprised as well.

Wow. You waste no time on modding!
As for your CLS...since we are to make up our own story. I heard you slid on a banana peel and went off a cliff, O'doyle style. It's a wonder you walked away without a scratch.
On a serious note. I LOVE it. If you hate the front opening have you though of having it painted to match? It would be less obvious and look less like someone cut a hole in the bumper and slapped it in. Just an idea.
Everything else is PIMP, color, performance, wheels, drop. It's all good. Congrats on the upgrade! RWD is my next move, one day.

The "cover" on teh hole is carbon fiber. When I went to teh body shop to get my things I asked what it would cost to paint it.
They said CF is not fun to paint and that they would need to drill the pop rivets out which can be problematic.

Rear Image Dynamics are in!

Why did they put this stupid thing between the grill & speaker?

You can't see in the picture but it is covered in dust, can't be acoustically neutral

Kenwood is in!
I need to get it up top but this was easiest and it was 90 at 7am.

This box came also, it goes behind the driver's seat in the dead space back there.

116 now.

Woofer and power/remote control wires for the 4 channel amp that will run the other speakers are in.
It was literally 117-123 in my garage the entire four plus hours it took. I have honestly never been so hot for so long EVER!

Quick video, warning it is loud. Although bass free, G9 is not made to record audio fidelity.
