'05 E55 runs 10.95 @ 131

download link - 3.6mb

1) 2005 E55, full weight @ 4200lbs.

2) Kleemann Stage 2 w/ LSD (more boost, shorty headers)

3) 16" CCW Classic custom wheels that clear the caliper by MM's

4) 16" Mickey Thompson Street Radials @ 14 cold PSI thanks to the CCW wheels. These hook even better than the BF DR's. Air pressure in front tires increased to 48 cold PSI.

5) Air filters removed before run.

6) NOS Ford 4.6 liter dry shot kit fashioned into a MB wetshot by Tim (around a 65 shot).

all that and thats all it ran? I love the car, but a drag racer it is not. You can do so much more with so much less on say a Cobra.

Why the heck would you risk a car like that by removing the air filters?

umm.. it doesn't have many mods, at all. all they did was:

1) increase boost
2) headers
3) 65 shot NOS
4) remove air filters
5) drag radials

VERY basic mods.

now I'm no Mustang expert but I'm pretty a Cobra needs a LOT more than such basic mods as this, to run 10's. First of all, you need a supercharger or turbo.... this MB already has a supercharger.

i thought the current Cobras have supercharged V8s....

but anyway, Bigman How the hell can u compare a crappy ass cobra to a E55??
That's like saying, u can do so much more for less $$ with a civic then say a cobra......

Impressive but not totally impressed, in Aussie land a Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo, which also weighs close to 4000lbs., ran a 10.98s in the 1/4 mile with only an ECU upgrade, intake, exhaust, larger intercooler, and injectors. Oh yea and it ran that time WITHOUT Nitrous and with the air filter on. Not bad for a Turbo I6.

um, not really. That's pretty damn impressive.

Cobra is lighter, more responsive to mods, a cobra running that quick would probably be putting down the same amount of power, if not, just a little less

You're thinking about Supras.

It was 17psi IIRC, stock they are set to 6 psi which is good for 322HP. Stock they come with big Garrett GT40 turbo, not bad for a family sedan.

Here's a direct link to the modded Falcon website:
http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/falcon/phase_iii.htm

And to the actual car itself:
http://www.ford.com.au/range/falcon/...turbosedan.asp

Also here's a more extreme version of the Falcon:

Yeah definitely it's not everyday you see a ten second Benz sedan on the drag strip. What I would really like to see someday is a modded S65 AMG can do on the drag strip.
