03 Civic Crumple Zones saved my car
Parked on the street a guy slams into the back of an 03 Civic going at least 40mph and shoves the Honda 6 feet forward into the back of my car which is then pushed 6 feet forward. Thankfully, my car still drives. The Civic is toasted though!

That's crazy. Same thing happened to my coworker just 2 weeks ago! Only his vehicle was the one totaled. A pickup truck full of drunk teens smashed into his parked car, which he had just gotten out of. The force of impact pushed his car into him, but luckily not too hard and he was not hurt.

crumple zones are interesting.
back in 09, i was rear ended in my RDX by a girl who fell asleep at the wheel. she totaled her Volvo V70.
this was the damage done to my RDX...
doesnt look like it but it turned out to be over 5 grand in repairs.
