I was driving my car home with a friend sitting beside me. There was a Mazda Rx-8 MT just passed by with quite fast speed, then I caught it up. I thought he was thinking that I wanna race with him so he pushed his car quite hard....I could hear his shifting , engine, and muffler sound. We were head to head at first ( we were going uphill at the speed of 140km/h) then I passed him by one car distance until to the traffic light. We both stopped at the intersection and looked at each other. He didn't have any passenger in his car so he should have the advantage on the weight. I could heard that he kept shifting his car while waiting for the light and I put my shift to SS mode. The green light was on, we both pushed the car quite hard and I passed him in 10 seconds and merged to his lane because I needed to make a left turn. He lost the game and he got quite mad by switching to my original lane and went away...

p.s. my car is stock.... no engine performance parts ...

Anyways, I think it shouldn't be that hard to beat a RX8 since it doesnt make that much torque at low rpm, and that's when you could pull car lengths on it. If he launched properly though, as in dropping the clutch at skyhigh rpms, then you might have a tougher time!
