I think thats the Lingenfelter Vette. Some guy with a Talon said he can beat it, on the street, but not on the track.

400hp with 400+tq AWD vs. 725hp 730tq RWD. Who would win? Lol

Actually, R6 vs Z06 on the street wouldn't be a bad race. On the street, the R6 is an 11-second bike and won't trap much higher than the Z06 in the 1/4, if at all. (But the R6 will do low-mid 10's @ close to 130 mph at the strip, when setup properly.) Now, I don't have 100% conclusive evidence on this - but I think the Z06 will beat the R6 from 0-150 - by a long shot. I couldn't find times for the R6 but the Z06 will do it in 17.5 sec. By comparison, a '05 Triumph Daytona 650 does the 1/4 in 10.94 @ 129 and 0-150 in 26 sec. '05 ZX-6RR does the 1/4 in 11.2 @ 129 and 0-150 in 26.1 sec <- both bikes comparable to the R6. I looked for a while on Google but came up empty. If anyone knows what the R6 will do 0-150 in, please, enlighten us.

I reat the article in motortrend and there's a pic of the lingenfelter litterally smoking it's tires (not just a chirp) at 125 mph while shifting into third.

A good driver in a Z06 would be a good race from a dig. R6s ain't low-mid 10 second bikes. My buddy Brian has a modded R6 and ran his an Byron. It ran something like low 11s. If you started from a highway roll, the Z06 would pull the R6 hard.

Look at the link above. Times for all past year R6's have been in the 10's. And this is not including the '05 and '06, which are faster. Look at times on the forums.

From Sport Rider April '05:

Honda CBR600 RR
1/4 Mile: 10.49 @ 133.3mph

Kawasaki ZX-6R
1/4 Mile: 10.38 @135.6mph

Suzuki GSX-R600
1/4 Mile: 10.62 @ 130.5mph

Triumph Daytona 650
1/4 Mile: 10.72 @ 129.1 mph

Yamaha YZF-R6
1/4 mile: 10.54 @132.9 mph
these newer 600's are pretty damn fast, eh?

That's with a pro driver though. Take a peek at actual track times and they aren't even close. You know Brian w/ the APS Z? He has taken his R6 with pipe/jet kit/gear to the track and came no where close to those numbers.

well sure. is that the R6's fault?

serious though, call me a mag-racer but I don't have a bike so what am I going to base my times on. Same thing I'm gonna base my times on for cars I don't have. The Z06 did 11.5 @ 127 at the hands of a pro driver, what should I say, its actually a 12-second car? :0

btw "normal" ppl have got mid-high 10's on the R6.

no I don't know Brian.

guys guys, my first post was supposed to be sarcasm but I'd still love to see race between z06 and 06 R6 (remember there are two R6 now, one is race bike and other is R6S).

No it's not the bike or drivers fault. IIRC he was almost knocking on high 10s. You are basing you times on pro drivers. The Z06 has been driven to mid 11s stock by normal joes. The Z06 is faster up top. If you were to race the R6 vs Z06 from a highway roll, it wouldn't be pretty for the bike.

Its in the new Motor Trend magazine. Its a Lingenfelter C6. They are doin compare of tuner cars vs a stock C6 Z06.

They test a Hennessey Viper, Accufab Ford GT, Lingenfelter C6, Livernois Mustang, MTI Pontiac GTO, and a stock C6 Z06

Oh yeah. They race all these cars on a new navel base in California. 3 miles

They also clock fighter jets. Close to 11 billion dollars worth of jets, etc, on the base.
