**NEWSFLASH** - "Business Sucks"

Just got this in the fax from one of my local dealers I buy from (I sell cars for a living):

I got a chuckle out of it....

Thats better than the stupid letters asking you to bring in your old vehicle to trade in as there is high demand for your make model car and they will give high value ...blah blah

I guess the fax has great deal of Originality in it

Keep in mind that Shoofin sells cars. This letter wasn't sent to customers.

^ But still... you'd think the letter would be a little more professional for a B2B type letter.

Technically Shoofin IS the customer of the dealership if he's buying cars from them to resell. So that fax isn't going out to the general public, but it is going out to dealership customers, even if they are other dealers...

All true.

But for all we know Shoofin may have a very good/friendly relationship with this particular salesman.

So really... What kind of "deals" are we talking? They can only go so low.

Invoice minus 3%? 5%?

Good question. Holdback is 3% off msrp, and they might give you a bit more off to get it off the lot. That could be a pretty slick deal right there.

I have never gotten an email/fax this blunt, but I get stuff like this from the dealers I work with all day long, so the punctuation and correct spelling and other stuff doesn't phase me anymore.

Just so happens that I'm in the market for a SUV, leaning toward MDX.

Too bad I live on the other side of the continent and the wrong side of the border.
