Washed and Waxed

Brought this car back from serious neglect. A few bumps and bruises on the body still, but overall engine is humming and running better than spec.

Agreed. I meant to comment on that RL but got sidetracked. One of the nicest ones I've seen...

I'm fine. Never heard about the guy I hit, but I talked to him and his passenger immediately after it happened. An ambulance took him away as precaution. I wrote, "my*" because State Farm bought it for $21.4k.

Haha It`s my Chevy Silverado. But seriously, last year put a tranny in, brakes, all motor mounts all new coils and plugs. Any modifications got spent on maintenance and repairs.

Just found this on the V yesterday:

The last V wagon owner to have this ended up with the entire rear quarter panel skin peeled off and replaced to get rid of the rust under the paint bubble.

Not looking forward to interacting with the dealer on this. Fsck. We'll know on Tuesday what they are planning.

dude that sucks!

Something to do with the climate? I know you don't drive the S2000 during the winter, right?

Nope. Probably factory defect + driving in salty conditions. I've bought 13 cars in 25 years and never had paint bubbles/rust prematurely. No way should there be paint bubbles with only 18 months of service. This definitely hashes my mellow. Hopefully the dealer won't give me a hard time about it. Very anxious about it.

Good luck as most dealers will use the "it's not rusted through or they will get their body shop to do a spot touch-up...

Thanks. I got tired of rolling on rubber bands. The rears are 19x9.5 et43 with a 275/35 and 25mm spacer. The fronts are the same spec but on 255/30s which will soon be replaced with meat.

That's not nice to say about VisualEchos. I think his Exige is very tasteful.
